I'm going from blonde - not quite platinum, but light blonde w/a lot of gold to dark brown/black.

My hair is actually short - a grown out Posh bob, the pic is extensions - so my hair is healthy but I'm planning to use a protein filler and fill the shaft w/color before putting on the permanent color.
 
Any tips for filler shades/tones, or a protein filler to recommend?  I'm already black at the nape so it's only from the occipital bone up that I'll need to change.
 
I'm thinking a red filler and then when the black goes over it it will hold much better, but not actually show red.

Sounds like you have it all figured out! Red filler would be great to use,and you are right it will help the black hold better.
Just be sure you want the black hair,because it is alot easier to get to it than it is to get rid of it.Have you tried on any wigs to see how you will look with this color? I'm just asking cuz sometimes going so dark from being so light can a real shocker to yourself afterwards.Some people absolutely hate it (one reason maybe celebs change their colors so much)

What reason u wanna go dark?What color r your eyes?I usually like dark hair better,but by the looks of it.I like u blonde.I think u should get a semi color first to see if u will like it.It's very hard & bad on yr hair to go back & forth from dark to light.Trust me, I have done it alot.I have been dying mine since I was 12 & now I'm 31.Be careful, hun!!

My eyes are hazel - green/light brown.  Why...hmmm...short attention span...LOL...  I was tanning (I know, really bad for me), so I made myself stop and haven't gotten self-tanner, it's such a pain.  I guess I feel a bit washed out w/more pale skin and blonde.  ...and...the last batch of extensions I got is really dry so that's bumming me out.
 
I get mixed comments about whether people like blonde on me or not.  Here's a pic w/it darker a couple of years ago.  blurry...but you get the idea...

I still like u blonde,which isn't like me usually.I like darker hair most of the time,but on u it looks great.I'd keep it blonde.Maybe go alittle darker blonde.
