Somewhere on one of the posts, I read about a humectant pomade. Can anyone help me out and tell me who makes it? Also, if you know, how well does it work?
Thanks. Becky

"Humectant pomade" essentially means a moisturizing pomade, and there are literally dozens on the market. Virtually all pomades are in some way moisturizing, and you can get them at all prices. Aura (an Aveda lookalike) makes one called Pure Radiance and you can find it at Sally Beauty (which is, by the way, a GREAT place to find cheaper salon alternatives with much better quality than some grocery store products.) I don`t use pomade (I have long hair) but it can be good for dry, short styles.

I have used Aveda`s product for years and it is awesome! 5 out of 5 stars from this fan!
Very little hold, but excellent shine, and definition as well as great aroma (but then again Aveda is stellar in that category).
It is also nice in defining curls and taming some frizz - I used to love it with a shorter curly style (4-5 inches). It`s a little heavy (most pomades I`ve come across are), so you need to be careful how much you use.
