Kara, I normally use Infusium 23 leave-in, but ran out and picked up Jeri Redding Biotin Leave-In. I would prefer to use ARTec Kiwi Leave-In because of all the good things I've heard about it here. Hmmm, think I'll go order it right now from WWBeauty!!Paula
Hi Kathleen,I'm like you and wash my hair everyday. I have long blond, dry, permed hair and use ARTec smoothing shampoo, conditioner, a spray leave-in and smoothing cream. When my hair feels really dry, I put a little of the smoothing conditioner on the ends for a leave-in. The ARTec smoothing line is very gentle and smells great.I also could not imagine not washing my hair everyday (could you imagine not washing your face everyday?). How could I go to work in a corporate setting with dirty, flat hair or wet, unstyled hair?I have read, and agree, that our hair should be washed everyday just like our faces. Washing puts moisture back in the hair and refreshes it, not to mention it looks, feels and smells better.Paula

I think I have your problem more in the summer than winter, but even then, I think I would rather have the oils in my hair. I worry more about the odors from cooking my meals (lots of fish) than the from sweating.I would make two suggestions. Cut down on the amount of time you are using that blowdryer. Have u ever just used it until most of your hair was dry? The other thing is you need a seriously concentrated conditioner to use on a daily basis. My hair is normal to dry and I can't imagine washing my hair everyday. At any rate, regardless of the manufacturer, use something that has some jojoba in it. It should help with the dryness from the blowdrying, coloring and overall stress you are inflicting on your hair. I would suggest Aubrey Organics Jojoba and Aloe Conditioner or their GPB (glycogen protein balancer). You might also try mixing the two. You need the jojoba for conditioning and strengthening and you also need the amino acids in the GPB for strength, elasticity and hair turnover.Hope this helps!Jade21
Kathleen, I have to wash my hair everyday, as well, and sometimes twice a day (due to workouts and then deciding to go out, or something along those lines). It tends to be dry, but what's the alternative -- greasy hair from an intense workout?! I also have to blowdry or it's out of control. So. . .I use gentle shampoos (generally Aussie) and just started using Nature's Gate Jojoba Conditioner -- which is a miracle in a bottle! My ends aren't looking or feeling dry anymore, which is incredible. I also try to blowdry on a cooler setting, and let it air dry as long as possible before having to make it look "polished." It helps lessen the havoc wreaked on it otherwise! :) Maybe when it gets longer I won't have to worry about this, but as for now I'm stuck. I just make the best of it, and try to wreak as little havoc on my hair as possible.Hope this helps somewhat!
I keep seeing people who say they only wash their hair 2-3 times a week. What if you workout and sweat everyday? My hair is dry, frizzy and color treated but I have to shampoo it daily because of daily workouts. I have to blow dry as well because my hair just looks bad airdried (cowlicks and semi-wavy texture) and I work in a high-visibility corporate job where polish is key. I don't think letting salt and oil build up is very good (or fragrant either). Any suggestions?
