> What does this mean exactly?> Just curious, what type of mousse, polmade, gel,> anything, do you use in your hair to give it a shine> or something to tame the ends when looking dry and or> frizzy?> gracIt means that after I 1) Do an oil treatment (olive or Aveda beautifying) and 2) Shampoo with a good moisturizing shampoo, that I use a conditioner with some dimethicone or some type of silicone product. Actually I've been using the L'anza "Repairing" conditioner for about a week and I really love it. The problem with dry and frizzy ends is that you really have to treat them, not just fix them. Good products, gentle care and lots of conditioning helps. Often I also rub in just a little Aveda beautifying oil during the day if they need it. For a special night out I often use a straightening balm (Redken One to One, KMS flat out, etc.) and blow dry slowly straight. Everyones' hair is different, but that's what I do.

Good luck.Damn, I thought I was the only one posting so much...I just located this site. Amazing!Sebastian Laminates. Does it leave your hair with any kind of film? I figure your picky about how you want your hair to feel...not sticky ad icky like gel can produce. So, I figure you would know what to say when I speak of film. Also, what's been the luck (for reals) on the ARTEC? Been wanting to try but there products are speny. Spent way to much cash already throughout the years on new products and wasting time and money only to be left with more damage...due to ze fineness of.Dig the shower, coffee story w/ the oil. Sounds like a low maintanence thing to maintain moisture in the hair. Will have to try someday. Thx for the tip..

I have been using Biolage for the past 9 years> on and off trying the Aveda...which to me were awful as well, only dried my hair out moreI would suggest the Hydrating Shampoo vs. the Moisurizing Shampoo. Moisturizing Shamp. does the opposite of what is says it does...moisturize, but for me-no. The Conditioning Balm is the best as a conditioner and you don't need too much.Hope this helps...

Hi, Gosh I'm posting up a storm tonight! Like you, I have fine, dry hair and have used many of the products you mentioned with pretty much the same results. Here are a few products I like: KMS NEFA Shampoo with pretty much any of the following conditioners, but I especially like it with Sebastian Laminates conditioner. Mind you, I'm going for a very smooth, sleek and straight look. So I want moisture for my dryness, a bit of weight to get rid of any tendency to puff (as opposed to volume) and absolutely no stickiness. I also like Rusk Calm Shampoo and Smoother Conditioner (Those names might be reversed, I haven't used them in awhile) as well as the old standby, ARTEC Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner. Right now I'm trying my NEFA shampoo with L'anza repairing conditioner (tomorrow). Oh, here's my favorite tip. Pre-condition with Olive oil even for a few minutes before you shampoo. If I can't leave it in very long, I'll just let it sit and soak in while I brush my teeth and lay out my clothes or make coffee, then I jump in the shower, and wash with a moisturizing shampoo. I like to finish with a smoothing-type shampoo with some silicone to seal and smooth the cuticle around any oil that may have absorbed. Looks great. Good luck.

I'm looking to try a new shampoo/conditioner combo, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? I have color-treated(lightened), fine yet abundant hair that tends to be somewhat dry yet can get weighed down easily. I've tried many different shampoos/conditioners, among them Phytocidre, Phytojoba, Phytosesame, Artec , Alterna Hemp Seed Shine, and Aveda, but despite these supposedly being some of the best, I don't feel that they done much for my hair, especially Aveda conditioners, which in my opinion are awful! Does anyone have any recs on others to try? I was thinking about trying Rusk Sensories or even Biolage, which I haven't used in a long time. Thanks!Kara
