Since it's damaged, try regular treatments of conditioner and hot oils (I guess that would help).

I'm not so sure you should do either for your hair's sake..just let it grow out (if you've got curly/kinky hair, get an afro or braid your hair; if it's straight, wear it in a ponytail..) and continue conditioning it and caring for it.

i dont kno if u should perm your hair because that would mess it up even more...
have you tried to wash it then put oil in it?

Im a young teenager with very thick hair. My hair is damaged but I dont know how badly. I tried both before but I dont know which is healthier for my hair. If you have any suggestions please post.
