My daughter was taking swimming lessons.  I coated her hair in a creme rinse conditioner and dax.  It actually grew her hair or maybe helped her retain length.  In fact her hair was  in the best condition ever and she went everyday.

Check out this link:

www.growafrohairlong.com

and click the icon that says "Swimming." There is very clear advice about what to do to your hair before and after you swim for minimal to no damage!!

To whom much is given, much is expected.

Whatever conditioner you decide to use, try saturating your hair with it before swimming.

The one I would recommend is Porosity Control conditioner.

There are specific shampoos and conditioners for swimming. I saw some at a couple of heathfood stores. I'm sure there are some other places as well.

I will be taking some swim classes over the next month. I know I will wear
a swim cap, but even with the cap my hair always gets wet. Any
suggestions on shampoos, conditioners, etc. for relaxed & color-treated
hair to minimize the damage from the chlorine. THANKS!!
