WHO GETS WAVES EASIER:BLACKS/MIXED?

My mom breaks down and perm her hair, but it's already thin and stringy like white peoples hair anyway. If she never did anything to it her hair would still look white because of the texture. She's light skin already too. So she fits in without changing herself too much.

It's always good to have a family that is very supportive of one another. I must say that my family has great pride, however, I am the only natural female in the family. So as you know I stand out. But my parents are very supportive in my decision, once they weren't but I asked them of their pride, teaching me of my history and the creator. It was very thought provoking, it forced them to think looking like-->.

Anyways, since we are talking about complections my mother is dark brown and my father is pretty light. We all thought my dad was a white man and he use to get upset when we asked our mom how come our dad was white. Yeah, I know it was strange but when I saw other blacks on tv such as the reruns of good times, light complected people weren't really on there. Please, I know Michael the son was light skinned but compared to my dad he wasn't. Anyways my father is light skin with the kinkest hair and I don't have a problem with that.  Why did I mention that? Because many African Americans seem to believe that if you are light complected that you must have loose textured hair, as if we can't have diversity amongst us. It is really sad.

 But you are doing a good job with educating  the young men on here. Keep up the good work.

Yes we do. There is no pure race anymore, just 1/2's, 1/4's, 3/4's.

But there is a such thing as the "One Drop Rule" which was created by white men. They say if you have one drop of African Blood, you are a Negro. This is why so many people are confused about their race because of American bias attitudes about race and culture. Many other countries don't think like Americans. They look at American Blacks and shake the heads in disbelief and pitty. They say we have slave mentalities and don't know it. This is why America  has so many racial problems.

America is base on white peoples domination over all other races. They depend on us being confused and unsure about our own culture. They want us to be ashamed of our hair texture, coarse or straight. They want us to be bias toward each other. They confuse us about our own culture and race so they can dominate all who are confused. Does that sound like something the Nation of Islam, the Native Americans, Latin Americans, Asian American, African Americans, and all other race of people would say. It's true and we all know it's true. The question is, Why do we buy into this domination and subordination system? Because it has been forced on all of us by the rich white people who enslaved us and stole our culture, land, and freedom. Think about Iraq and how they will be forced into a white dominated sociey in the HOLY LAND of Mecca where Jesus and Allah walked. They too will be confuse about thier own culture, religion, and even hair textures like us.  Domination and confusion like Black poeple. We are truely living in the last days where man will destroy MAN. Think about it cause it's already happening!

True, it is easier for peeps with coarse hair to get waves and maintain them. Straight hair people tend to have trouble maintaining a 360 waves pattern. I think there is a misconception that straight hair people get waves easier. No their hair lays down easier, waves is another issue altogether. I will say that straight hair people waves are more spaced out and may even have deeper waves, but coarse hair responds better to waves than straight hair because the curls are already there from birth. Striaght hair people have to work for the curls.

 I think Americans tend to say straight hair looks better than coarse hair, which is why so many Black people admire straight hair and think it is better, NOT. You have to remember that African Americans are under pressure to look, dress, talk, and act like white people in order to fit in. White people are not accepting of African hair styles. They perfer straight hair that look like their own hair. This has a bias affect on young black MEN who have mothers that strighten their hair or wear WEAVE that looks white.  Straight or coarse hair, waves still look good on both hair textures.

People this is just what I think, but it can be proven by historical facts of racism within our own race. Check your His Story, not their history.
