I really want to let each and every one of you guys know how much you are helping me with all of your wisdom!!!! i would definately not put any more chemicals in my hair for a very very very long time! i am so positive that i learned my lesson! as far as seeing a doctor, it isnt because i had a chemical reaction, it is because I let the hair dresser put a dye and a relaxer on my head!! WHAT AN IDIOT YOU MIGHT SAY??? yes an idiot i was! but never again. anyway, thank you guys so much for your input and keep them coming! new info is good info!! Love Ya'll(IN MY COUNTRY GURL VOICE!)

I agree with all the ladies that posted.  They  have given you great information.  There is really nothing that will make your hair grow much faster and like Renee said, don't go overboard with growth products!  Try looking into more natural products and vitamins to baby your hair with.  Maybe a good multi-vitamin or a hair, skin and nails vitamin will help make your new growth strong. Try moisturizers such as shea butter, vitamin e oil and olive oil for moisture and stay away from mineral oils.

Make sure to deep condition with a protein treatment to prevent breakage and follow that up with a moisturizing conditioner. If I were you, I wouldn't use any sort of chemicals at this point because they will damage your hair and slow your growth.  Natural is probably the best way to go, and no heat.

Just be patient and your hair will surely grow.  Good luck!  And don't hesitate to ask questions.

cmesweet took the words right from me. When anything synthetic, or new is used on the scalp or hair that causes it to fall out, there is a possibility of an allergic reaction. Seeing a dermatologist is not a bad idea. If possible, seeing a good stylist can help you trim your hair into a wearable style while you are growing it back! I had to do this 2 years ago. My hair was cut up to mid-ear all the way around. It is not a few inches past my shoulders. It takes alot of patience and nuturing as well as support. (That's where we step in!)

First, you are beautiful no matter what.  There are many women with short hair and some with no hair at all...your hair does not define you. You seem very intelligent, so I know that you know you are beautiful. U can try leaving in some of the conditioner you use...don't wash it out completely. I know 911 leave is drying to my hair and other people that I know.

Also, have you been to a dermatologist about your situation? You could of had an allergic reactiong?

washing it everyday might be too much on your hair. if you want to wash everyday, you can try washing with conditioner. like any VO5 conditioner. You can try shampooing every week or maybe every 3 days. you have to see what will work for you. What leave in conditioner are you using? and have you tried using a moisturiser after applying your leave in? you can also try applying an oil after applying the leave in and moisturiser to seal in moisture. you can try washing with a cheapie conditioner if you want to wash everyday then use your conditioner mixture with the peppermint oil and stuff as a 2nd conditioner. please dont have a nervous breakdown.

calm down.......its hair and it will grow back. make sure you dont use too many growth products cos it will backfire. drinks lots of water and eat healthy. just be patient. is your hair really dry now? first you have to clarify using either ACV, baking soda or clarifying shampoo. then wash with a moisturising shampoo then do a "deep" treatment. for like an hour or so. the following week, do a protein treatment. maybe nexxus emergencee? ive never used it. there are a lot of protein treatments.....i use joico k-pak reconstructor or aphogee. make sure you moisturise everyday and do deep treatments every week with an uber moisturising deep conditioner. Hope this helps. im sure the others will give you more advice

Hello all!!!
i am very new to this site, i have been reading the posts on the site and i have to say i am lovin every bit of it! i just havent seen to much of anything that pertains to me . i have a bit of a situation and i really hope everyone in here can give a little bit of their advise to school me. here is the situation: i originally started off with shoulder length hair, and decided i wanted to change the color(no no #1)but it wasnt that bad because i was moisturizing it like crazy, so it was fine. with my hair i am never satisfied with the length so i always got weaves to add length, still not bad because i always got them sewn in. then, i decided i wanted to do something different(no no #2)and this is where i had a turn for the worst! i wont name any names as to where i got it done but the name of it was called the melange system, where u get human hair attached to a net and your hair get pulled through the net to give the unweaved look. i tried it, spent 1700.00 on it!! no that wasnt a typo i spent 1700.00 on it with hopes that i would look like Tyra or Ciara or somebody, that's not the worst part, they dyed my hair to match the color of the hair that i had chosen which was a orange-ish blonde(like Ciara) thats when my hair took a turn for the worst! it was literally falling off of my scalp! i mean all you had to do was pull it, and it was in your hand! i wanted to die!! my hair was all over the place and not a stitch on my head! i didnt know what to do with it! it is shorter than my Fiancee's right now and he has a caesar! i read in another forum how to make a conditioner for growth with coconut oil, olive oil, and pepermint oil and i put that in my shampoo and conditioner and i have been washing my hair(if thats what u can call it)every day! i also have been putting Dr.Miracle's and Hair emergency 911 on it after washing. on top of the fact that i dont have any hair i have to wear a wig so that people on the street doont point and laugh at me, and when i see females in the street with shoulder length hair, i want to just die!! it has only been a week since i started treating it, but i guess i want to see instant results.. am i doing the right thing? does any one else have any other remedies for growth??? please help me i am so desperate!
