GL experience cold fusion and pics

I don´t know if it is different with other methods but I did have matting with my first extensions when I went to bed with wet hair as I always used to do before. I noticed that it got tangled up really bad every time I let it airdry. so the least I do (as on the pictures) is blowdry the bonding part and on the rest of the hair it doesn´t matter anyhow. maybe it works for you...

oh, another question... looking through the board, the prices in the us for GL seem incredible. do you have any idea how much I would have paid there and how much would I pay for the hair like it is right now with different methods but really good hair (I wouldn´t save on that). When I finish my exams in Germany I´ll be moving to california, so I´m curious...

oh, and what are your tricks for blending the own hair with styling, especially in the back. I´m always in the impression that it can be seen...

I'm sure it helps that you have quite a bit of hair to begin with(length and fullness).

For me the further from my head the more obvious the bonds are.  I think they have more of a chance to peak through your natural hair when they are grown out.

And I didn't mean matting in the length of your hair (though I commend your deidication to braiding every night and using good products).  I meant matting up close to your head.  My hair isn't too bad about it but some people here have serious problems with it.  I've only had matting issues when I wear braids.  Not pinch braids, but full braids so that there is no way to brush your hair.  then the part between the beginning of the braid and my head really mats up.  But its not that hard to comb out if you are patient.

I don't see any problem with the blending on your hair.  How high up did you extensionist place the bonds? (top of your ears, even with your eye brows...)??  you said there was a lot of your hair at the top to cover.  That always makes a difference on blending too.

7cm is not quite 3 inches.  which would make me looney!  but like I said if you are happy with it then party on.

did you have a lot of grow out after that many months?  I just worry about the matting and since I have to iron my curly hair to get it straight, I worry that I might remelt the bonds trying to get my hair to lay straight on accident or something..as much as I HATE the thought of a track or two, I think that for me it might be the best route..now if I could only get some of Amm's hair...*sigh*

hmm, I don´t know. my hair didn´t knot up at all and you couldn´t see the extensions either, even after six months. I had quite a bit of my own hair layered over them. maybe it´s more of a problem if you start the extensions early in the layers. my hairdresser too said that normally they are taken out after 3-4 months, but I guess that it helped that I took care of them really well. I never left them humid, always used conditioner, always untangled them, didn´t blowdry too hot and always slept with a braid.
