Well i have to go to work on that day- but my new color looks great and i love my shrunken fro so i will leave it as is. BTW- i did go to Big Lots and hoard all of the DDTA and DDWL- so i may use that on Christmas Day. I do plan to order some shampoo bars and conditioners from www.lush.com when i get a few extra dollars.

 Congrats Yolligirl.  I may just do that style...I'm still not sure. I'm taking my hair down from braids right now so that's why I mentioned a braid out.

Hey everybody I did the BC and day 2 and I have a shrunken fro.  I think I will do corn rows in the front and shake-n-go fro in the back for Christmas and it will be the first time everyone in my family will see my hair after the cut. 

cmesweet sorry I didn't check back in this thread but yes I meant silver or gold ribbon for the holidays.

Well I just went ahead and put my good old weave back in..to give my hair a rest, and colored it meaning extra moisture and condition I will have to do.

Update! I just decided to do a braid out  maybe I will french roll/twist the back and have crinkly bangs.

Im not planning anything big.  I wont see anybody but my family and boyfriend, so I dont see the big deal.  I might try something new years eve though

Thanks Yolligirl...the only color the brides were allowed to use was White...so thats what I did. But thanks for the suggestion and compliment.

 

Edit to say: Sorry if I misunderstood Yolligirl, do you mean to wear that style for Christmas with gold or silver ribbon?

Trophywife why are you avoiding cameras?

Wow so many people are going to BC and so many are having birthdays. I feel so left out since I'm an April baby.

Back to the topic at hand, I'm  not sure what I'm going to do either. I might straighten my hair but I heard horror stories about it. Maybe I'll just make a fancy protective style.

Hi everyone, my birthday is also in Dec, December 24th. Actually according to my mom 15 mins before Christmas  day lol. I have been trying to grow my hair to hip length. I have been taking Biotin and a multi vitamin and seems to be working. But I find that if I wear my hair down every day, and I am always looking at it I don’t notice the growth as much. So I have started to wear my hair up most days now and when I do wear it down I notice the growth so much more. So on my birthday and Christmas when I go to parties and dinners I will style it and wear it down, until then I’m going to try to wear it up so by then I will be happy with all the progress I’m making.

Wow so many December birthdays.  Mine is on the 20th and I plan to BC that day, I don't know what to do for Christmas and then I'm going to Vegas the day after so I'm really at a loss.  It's not too cold in TX just some spurts of cold weather, so it will definetly be out, maybe so twist or cornrows in the front.

I'm not planning to do anything special w/ my hair during Christmas...probably a nice, bouncy roller set. My birthday is the 18th so I think I'll wear it out straight when I CELEBRATE that weekend!! YEAH!!

I don't celebrate xmas but my bday is on the 30th. I plan BC but if I chicken out I'll ask my mom to do cornrows for me. I usually just wear a bun. I plan on buying new products. I have been on a product freeze since July. I admit I have bought like 3 products since then but I got a gift certificate I had to use it.

Do you have special plans for your hair around the Christmas Holiday?  If you wear protective styles the majority of the time, do you plan on wearing it down/out? Do you plan on using special products that you have been waiting for all year long? Tell us...
