That's a funny thought. *chuckling* For me, it was the long list of plant extracts in the ingredients, and not so many chemicals. I used it for years until they started putting -cones in them.
Ah, so it's a protein reconstructor. It's easy to overdose on those. I use such a conditioner about once every 2 months. Years ago, when I used one every time I washed my hair, I quickly got crunchy hair.

yeah, it sounds like the product has made everything worse!
I've got really dry hair too (damaged bleached and blowdried ends) so I have gone away from shampooing altogether. I "wash" with water or conditioner, but my ends are still super dry, so every week or so I also do a "Snowy's Moisture Treatment" (from LHC - 1 part deep conditioner, 1/3 part honey, 1/3 part PURE aloe vera) or an oiling. This seems to help, but I also just cut off 1/2 inch - where my hair has been bleached and re-bleached, there didn't seem to be any hope.
I would not trust any product that says it can moisturize your hair...most are way overpriced. Oils from your kitchen (yes, those!) do a lot better...

I agree with AmandaPanda... you need to get rid of whatever that product deposited on your hair. What are the top ingredients in it? Lots of -cones, perhaps? (And how does your hair like -cones?). Just guessing based on the name (elasticizer!), it sounds rather horrid...

The best product i have ever tried for dry hair is Aussie 3 Minute Miracal deep conditioner. I am sure you should be able to get Aussie products in Aussie!
