Tiffany twist

 

Others may have discussed them already....but perhaps sourgirl would like to discuss them, and has questions of her own? I've offered to discuss them with her, and have offered my opinion and experience with them.

 

Why, exactly, does that need to be ridiculed? This is what I meant by the topic being "welcomed" to discuss, not saying that it's specifically connected to any rules.  I may have misunderstood mshoney's post above, and the shortness of it.

We're all just trying to help each other out here....apologies on my behalf for any confusion with this thread.

It does take some practice at getting the right amount of bond. I've dipped a strand too deep, tapped it too much/too little on the pot's rim. But most importantly, with my go at it, was getting the extension strand lined up good with my hair, then pinching a little at the top, a little at the bottom. Hold it taut between top and bottom, allowing the bond to seep, those 10ish seconds.  I've noticed if I didn't have it lined up good, those were the few that I have lost immediately. Or I could tell, after doing a row, and letting it 'set', doing a quick tug, which ones were going to be lost.

If you've dipped too far, you can still use that strand and attach. Valentine has suggested using a flat iron to shorten the bond.  As she said, it does just kind of evaporate. You have a little substance on your flat iron that easily wipes off.

The directions might sound complicated...but when you have it there in front of you, it's pretty simple and quick.  It's just a matter of tweaking your method of how you use it.

  The Tiffany Twists discussions were fun, those girls put that system to it's paces and Tiffany was so helpful not pushing her product but giving real help and didn't get defensive at all when concerns were raised. Very professional. All of the testing and feedback and the her character helped me to decide to buy the TT. I plan to try them for highlights and some other stuff that the girls here have taken the time to research.

  As I said before, I never go by what the vendors say, I do my own exhaustive research before I buy any product, including hair.

  MileHigh, I completely misunderstood her question. I assumed that when she asked, "I just saw an advertisment for Tiffany Twist. Has anyone ever tried it and if so, what did u think?" That she hadn't read the 4 pages of discussion we had on it already that may answer any questions she may have had on the system.

 

I've tried it for the first time a week ago. I love the ease of it!  I did a search and it doesn't look like it's really been discussed at HB for over a month. At that point, the 'rules' suggest to just start a new thread.   No harm in doing that at all.  

 

Quite a few members at DIYE are using Tiffany Twist, and have alot of free discussion on it and plenty of info.  

PM me with any questions...as I'm not sure whether it's welcomed here to be discussed(kind of like mentioning Russian hair, lol).
