She didn't know why she hadn't answered and Salvagestock explained it all later. It's one of the problems you run into when you handle most if not all of your day to day operations on your own. If you get sick then your company shuts down until you're better. Many small vendors will post an explanation on their front pages. I think her husband tried to help, bless his heart. I think it was a good learning experience and example for those of us who may come across this type of situation in our businesses. It's an aspect that's easily overlooked.

I must have missed this thread, thanks for bumping it up Serramagk. I think SalvageStock was extremely gracious about what happened. Give the lady a break! She was in the hospital and her husband was holding up the fort. Kimmy, I realize you think that despite her incapacitated state, her first priority should have been your hair extensions but she apologized and even sent free hair for good measure. That's not enough for you? Wow!
Sorry to bump an older post, but just wanted to comment that I've ordered from SalvageStock a couple of times and I was very happy with the hair. She was really good about responding to my emails and was very easy to work with.

hi there kimmy, sorry hunni i have just logged in and seen your message. so you are missing a pack of brown mix? gosh im so sorry about this, i will send out straight away for you with extras unless u prefer a refund, whatever u want im here to help. if the hair is not long enough for you do u want me to send out longer length for you?
re the first order sent to you, it was sent by royal mail airmail, we dont get tracking number for airmail in uk for standard airmail like the do in USA etc but we do get a signed and stamped certificate of postage & receipt from the post office as evidence of postage (we need proof of postage incase royal mail undeliver to prove to them we have paid for postage etc so we can claim back) i can try and scan this and email over to u so you can see this was sent to you in good faith. i have contacted royal mail re this package as we have to file a claim with them after 14 days of non receipt, they will refund us up to 32 pounds for the package. we always honor all sales in the event of missing package and resend out by international signed for (hence tracking number) it costs us about $8 on top of shipping cost for international signed for and we cannot send all packages by this method initially due to the high cost, hence using royal mail standard airmail with cert of postage, which normally makes it alright within 5-10 days. anyway please message back as here to help and make this up to you
I sent you an email as well via paypal - can you plrease send me the tracking numbers? Aust post said all royal mail has a tracking number and they cant tell whether its even reached australia except with that number
id just like to mention i have bought many times from salvage stock both ebay and privatley and she is AMAZING. the quality of hair for the price is amazing as well.
I bought some hair from her and had it installed by amanda beechwood and amada commented it felt almost as nice as bohyme!!
Hi yes I agree with the others that you should have a fool proof system of emailing everyone when you send out shipments - maybe there is some software out there that you can put buyers into that will show the sale as incomplete until you have marked it as shipped and sent out an auto email when you ship it, etc
with other sellers I have been sent the following:
An email comfirming receipt of payment and confirming items ordered (hair length, color, number items etc)
Confirmation of my postal address
A second email confirming date items were shipped, and method of shipping and tracking numbers and link to websites to track item
This ensures that:
If there is a delay in shipping the buyer is informed
If the buyer knows when it was sent they know when to chase up on their end if it hasnt arrived
The correct items in the correct color/size/quantity are sent to the correct address.
Its not the delay I mind so much as not knowing whats going on whereas if i had had an email right after you shipped it saying hi your items were shipped today via royal mail tracking code whatever etc, then I would have spent my time chasing it up with the tracking and my PO before I started emailing you and starting up paypal claims etc.
hi everyone, thanks for your comments, mshoney, u are right & i again apologise to kimmy, i have learned a valuable lesson from this, because before my back 'went' i took care of all the emails (to be honest i didnt think my husband would do a very good job as he types so slow) so when my disc slipped no-one was in a position to take over so to speak, from me being in hospital, my husband had to do his best & has actually learned alot in this time. I hope to goodness i am never in the position again (it was tooo painful!) but if i am ever not able to work, i have someone there to carry on for me now. As i say im genuinely sorry for what happend with the omunication with kimmy & will make sure it doesnt happen again to anyone else. Thanks for your time everyone. take care

My advice to anyone that does sell on Ebay, when you ship an item to a buyer, let them know that you have done so, and provide them with a tracking number as well. That can at least help eliminate situations like this.
Ahh..... this world of all these "automated systems".

Hi, Salvagestock. No one answered her emails. We understand that you were hospitalized but SOMEONE could have said SOMETHING. Someone said they would get back to her in one email and then....nothing. She just wanted to know if it had been sent.
feeling bit gutted everyone jumped to the conclusion i was ignoring kimmy and wanted me drawn & quarted! i would never ignore anyone & had genuine circomestance why i was delayed in responding to Kimmy. I or my partner always get orders sent out & would never not send goods. I have been selling for a long time and always try to help people and make sure everyone is happy. Im sitting up with my back now so am online catching up on everything. I hope you all wont feel badly towards me. Thankyou
Nicki
ps the feedback updates automatically when i get feedback, its an autoresponder tool, if anyone want link to use tool themselves let me know. also we use turbo lister to automatically generate listings, just wanted to explain why saw new listing & feedback when i wasnt online.
hi kimmy, its niki here, just to let you know if you are online here that your order has been resent today international signed for. i included an extra pack for u as a good will gesture. the first lot was sent on 27th july so i would have though you would have received by now so i will resend just incase. if you get 2 lots come through just email me let me know hunni cos i will put a claim in with royal mail this end. royal mail have ad strikes in the uk last month (see www.royalmail.com for details of industrial action strikes) so post may be bit delayed & this might be reason for delay. but i will resend recorded just incase. I do consider myself a good honest seller on ebay, i have never allowed a single customer not to receive their hair & always honour any items lost & place the claim myself this end. The hair is great quality at an affordable price and i think is wonderful value for money.
Again i apologise for the delay responding to your email, as i mentioned i promise i would never ignore anyone on purpose, as u were aware i was in hospital for a while with the disc bulge (slipped disc) and now am out of hospital am trying to get things back to normal and respond to emails as soon as received. Im always here to help anyone who needs anything anytime & promise i am here to assist you.
Let me know if u are on here hunni as im not sure how this forum thing works and if u are online here or not etc
thanks for the link - unfortunately theirs is over $100 USD a weft, which works out at probably 4- 5 times the price salvagestock was offering. shes finally responded saying she sent it and is going to resend - i said she needs to do that asap as if it isnt resolved in 20 days then I am forced to make it a claim to keep any paypal protection.
she said she has been in hospital (I hknow she had before as it was on her ebay site) and that the ebay activity was an auto auction tool not her logging in herself

Report her to ebay. Do you still have a copy of the email they sent offering the discounted hair? Forward that to them.
Report her to PayPal and be done with it. I know you're hurt and upset but you're stressing yourself out too much about this. Reporting her to these companies is all you can do. She is going to be in serious trouble with Ebay. Don't but anything from her just to leave negative feedback.
Don't worry about her getting away with it, she won't. They'll most likely suspend, if not terminate her account. Sellers make offers like that to avooid paying Ebay their fees. They'll handle her.
I don't know this companies shipping policies but they sell Asian and Indian remy hair and are very reasonably priced. WWW.MYMANEATTRACTIONS.COM. They also sell skin wefts which may be a better option for you than regular wefts.
Everything is going to work out fine. Don't let this women stress you out. She'll get hers, they always do.
Ive posted a dispute with paypal and if i dont hear back from her in the next day - because I know shes online daily - checked her ebay, I will escalate that to a claim for my money back. Im also temped to do a buy now on some of her items and then post feedback that goes something along the lines of hey i already paid for this how about sending it!!!

I think it is extremely rude that this seller can't respond to your email regarding your shipment! She must have access to email constantly, as how would she know of her ebay sales, or notifications of paypal payments? Or you can check and see if she's left feedback for others during this time you've emailed her. That would be a dead giveaway that she's in constant contact with her computer!
Do you know of the shipping method? You could go online to check the approximate amount of business days it would take to arrive with a postal/shipping service...considering if she mailed it out within a few days of your payment.
Still, start filing a claim with Paypal immediately. You can always cancel the claim if the hair does arrive meanwhile. But at least the claim might get her attention? File for the cost of hair plus the shipping charges. If she fails to respond to the claim within 10 business days, you will receive a refund of the total amount you've requested by default.(happened to me) If she does respond, then she has to provide proof of mailing with some sort of tracking number...then the waiting begins... Paypal allows for 30 days of evaluating the claim to come to a decision. Or you could do what I had to do, as Paypal was taking longer than the 30 business days with mine, so I just ended up filing a dispute with my credit card company, who refunded me asap.
I wish you luck with getting that $150 back, or the hair arrives for you tomorrow. If not, hopefully someone here can help you find the type of hair you're looking for.
