Your Sally may have an Ion Color Chart which shows the color wheel across different lines, theory, formulation, pigment guide (free). If you are worried of using harsh bleach there is Cremelights that lifts up to 5 that many talk of (I haven't used it yet) Yellow box by Loreal. * if you didn't use the drabbers maybe take them back & exchage* There is also Complements gel bleach & Wellite (oil) bleach. It is possible you may have to Lift & Tone/use Demi's or Diluted permanent low vol. mixtures. There is Wella Demi tubes/ Loreal color Gems(STINKY)/ Clairol creme toners/ Wella liquid T toners...
Sometimes people say "gold" is red... It really is hard to say what to do without seeing your hair condition at the moment. If possible post a pic to get better replies & hope your hair is doing ok. If you can replicate the orange on a test clipping of hair & experiment
If trying to correct for orange-red use blue-green base maybe 9 level with 10 vol (no LIFT) & deposit of neutral color. If the area of new growth was the one that is mostly orange see if it changes after 10 minutes or so.
Conditioner with blue may also help too. The Roux mousse looks purty too & Fanciful Rinses!/ Fancitone has a good chart too & has green.

Hi , Well I have already gave you my input via another post, blue based bleach and ash blonde toner, or using hi lift colours, but I see your attempting this at home and not going to a salon, well good luck.
As for any colours, packs of bleach etc, they will be fine for next time as long as they are well sealed, tubes of pro colours can last up to 5 years as long as there air tight.
Again good luck, Karen.

ok, after reading and reading and reading this site , i'm going back to sallys and get a blue (not violet) based demi, deposit-only color which is 1 shade darker than my current medium orange and try one strand of that .... (is manic panic a demi? & do i use a developer with it?).... (do i need to go 2 shades darker instead of 1?)
i'll also buy a tube of "unred" for a different strand test .... (what do i do with it? ... put it on straight out of the tube? ...it doesn't feel like the mixing of it with conditioner will cover my amount of red) ....
if none of this works, i'll do a third strand where i use regular bleach powder plus 30 vol developer and get it light ... then i'll wash that out, dry it and then put medium ash blonde deposit-only (violet base) with 20 vol developer on it - hopefully taking it back to my natural mousy shade - which i used to hate, but would now give anything to have back lol .... (later i'll do foil highlighting to match the other highlights in my hair - which is what i was trying to do when i screwed this up to begin with before i knew that i had to leave it on the hair and moist til i passed the orange phase ...)
i'll pick up a bottle of DRABBER while i'm at sallys also, but i'm not sure what i should do it it .... put it on yet another strand to test? ....
****another question: after i open the UNRED, the BLEACH POWDER PACKET, the DRABBER, the COLORS, how long can i keep them around for later use assuming i seal them up well? (i know i must throw out anything i've mixed) ....
please comment on what this looks like, and correct anything you can see i have gotten wrong ... i need to move on with my life ....thanx so much!
