I have naturally dark brown hair. I have bright purple sections of hair done by a professional. To do this, she first lightens my hair, then washes that out, then applies the bright purple color. The purple does not last very long. In a couple of weeks, the purple sections fade to the bleached orangey-yellow color.
What can I use to put the purple back in my hair? I don't want to buy those cheap kits in the drugstore because I think they involve lightening. I don't want to lighten, I just want to re-color the already lightened sections. Is there a better product available to non-professionals? I'd rather go back to the stylist every 6 weeks instead of every 2.
