Got a call from Bliss Today and said my order will be in on Friday morning at 10 am. I will let you guys know what I get this time. Amm, like you I am wondering what all the fuss over Bliss is about. I don't think now that I got someone else's order either but what ever they had close (13 inches to my ordered 19 inches for them) and I also asked for Med. Brown and was sent a blue black too and the curls looked the same as yours. When I talked to the owner on the phone I stated many times Med. Brown and she said, "Yes, I know". Time will tell and I will update tomorrow morning. Also on their website they said they had handtied in all lenghts and she told me that they don't carry hand tied longer than 13 inches.
Getting nervous here- really nervous. Glad you got a refund Amm, I might call you to help me out.
Hmm....I've heard similar reviews of Nature Girl and indianhairs.com, too--that they weren't consistent and they screwed up orders on a regular basis. In fact, I thought Bliss had the best reputation of the three. :)
Well, I guess that's it for Bliss. I've had similar experiences with company reps who told me they had lengths and colors they didn't have, and it's so infuriating. I also think that claiming the hair is longer than it is runs rampant--never mind that with a lot of these crappy wefts, the hair is garbage for the last two inches or so. The fact that there were split ends on brand-new hair is similarly disturbing.
Anyway, I'm really sorry to hear about this, AMM. If this is a company with a pretty good reputation, we can only imagine the crap those with bad reputations peddle. But I'm glad to hear you're getting your money back.
Collectively, we've tried almost every form of human hair on the market, and it's bleak. Very few companies have good quality, and when they do it's not consistent.
I'm really optimistic about synth and hope I never have to shop around for human hair again!
Awww man... that's too bad. I'm sorry to hear about that. At least you can get a refund.
I'm wearing naturegirl hair right now that I absolutely love. the hair is so pretty. Maybe you should give them a shot? They offer samples too so you can try it first.
I've heard so many good things about bliss so that's a bummer to hear, but I can vouch for naturegirl hair cuz I'm wearing it and It's the best.
Naturegirl is in Spain but they ship in a few days from their warehouse in spain or Ohio, I've received hair from both places.
Or if you're looking for a remi hair but cheaper, try indianhairs.com I've used their hair before but found it inconsistent. One batch I had was great but the other shed a lot, but since you get bulk, shedding probably won't be a problem.
But they're in india and they ship really fast and they're relativley cheap for remi hair. Their english is a little on the suspect side also but they ship fast.
both links are the same company, one offers coloring or something.. I haven't figured it out, i've only ordered directly from the indianhairs site
A salesperson can see an order for 26" med brown deep wavy hair and actually fill the package with 26" med brown deep wavy hair instead of reaching for 21" jet black loose curl.
When THAT happens, only then can we begin to be satisfied.
It's all about business ethics. Bliss admitted on the phone they did not have what I ordered so they filled it with the next closest thing they had and they didn't bother giving me the option before shipping it.
Now, is THAT an acceptable way to conduct business?
That is really really bad news. It is just TOO RISKY to buy pricey hh online, I guess...at least they agreed to having you return it! But NOW what? What must a person do in order to get quality human hair, I ask you. This is very discouraging.
I ordered med brown 26" deep wave. What I ended up with was a jet black 20-21" and what looks like what they have pictured as loose curl. The hair starts straight with a bit of wave on top and then the bottom is not wavy at all but a definite curl.
This hair is so black, it casts blue shades. It's a deeper black than #1 on the standard color ring.
Let me say that the hair I received was not a mistake. They did not accidently send me someone else's order and I spoke directly with the woman who packaged my hair. She confirmed this is what they meant to send.
I would also like to say that my confirmation email when I initially ordered states "deep wavy 26" but the sales receipt from Bliss that came with the hair says "curly hair 20-26".
Major points deducted for not being able to keep things consistent.
What floored me when I called Bliss just a bit ago and told them they sent me black, they said --and I quote-- "It must be dark brown. We don't even sell black."
I guess the forgot their own web page indicates they sell hair in none other than "Black."
Another look at the blue/back hair that they say is brown:
OK, so hair can be dyed. Whatever. I could have overlooked the color difference. What was completely unacceptable to me was the length. And wait until you hear what Bliss had to say about it.
Me: [after confirming Bliss had my order form in front of them] I received 20-21" hair, maybe 22" in some places. I specifically ordered 26." Do you see that on your order?
Bliss: Yes. And the hair was measured and stretched to 24."
Me: I ordered 26" correct?
Bliss: Yes.
Me: Is this what you routinely do? You get an order for 26" hair and you disregard that and send much shorter hair? And I've stretched the hair myself and maybe 2 or 3 strands can get all the way to 24". This hair is a good 5 to 6 inches shorter than what I specifically ordered. That's quite a difference, wouldn't you say?
Bliss: No we don't routinely do business that way. We tried to call you to let you know the hair was shorter.
Me: Impossible. I never received a call and nobody left a message. My cell phone captures every number that rings and there is nothing from your area.
This hair is just an amazingly long way off from 26", don't you think?
Long story short - the phone call was much more cordial than the tone of how it's transcribed. I did take them to task for this and they were very polite.
I'm getting everything refunded and I'll be sending the package back with confirmation and insurance just in case.
Oh, one other thing...
The hair feels nice. Of course just about all hair feels nice at first and the real test is long wear so it's hard to tell how this would wear over time. There's a few split ends that have the potential to start running up the strand and I find that a bit worrisome as a way to start.
The smell of Bliss hair is really indescribable. I can't put my finger on it. Some may call it a pleasant smell. I'm not sure exactly what it is but my fingers and hands are definitely covered in whatever it is and it's starting to get on my nerves. Do they squirt this stuff in some sort of Indian scent? Maybe a light spray of Nag Champa or something?
PLEASE if you're selling hair out there, I have some advice.
#1: If you smoke, keep it the heck away from the hair. No matter how YOU don't smell it, a non-smoker can pick it up in a nanosecond even when it's still packaged and in the mailbox.
