Other issues with this hair aside, this is the length I expect to get when I order 22-24".
Glamour Hair has consistently given full length and then some. And not just some spindly end pieces that stretch to the longest length but a full, lush length to the end as you can clearly see. When this hair is straightened, it's an easy 25 1/2". I don't want to stray too far off the Bliss issue, but perhaps Bliss could learn a lesson from this - give the customer what they order. Better yet, give the customer just a tad bit more than what they ordered and you may have some satisfied customers (as far as length goes anyway.)
Don't wash it or dye it. Wrap it back up in their cheesy, perfumey Saran wrap and send the hair back. It's not what you ordered, it's not what you paid for.
Send it back with insurance and confirmation delivery. I recommend a phone call to them beforehand and request shipping on BOTH packages you returned be refunded to you. You should not be responsible because THEY can't pull their heads out of their own asses and get one simple order straight.
I can't believe this company. Totally unreal that they would do this after their first mistake just days previous.
If I lived near them, I would relish the opportunity to walk through their doors and deal personally with this situation.
oh yes I do plan on doing the switch. But I also do a few other ladies that are not so easily convinced. So I still will be using human hair too! I just hate to order 10 bundles per color unless I know that I can get rid of some of it. It really is decent quality for the price. If I can make it last 3 months as hard as I am on my hair anyone can!
Jenny Ive never had any real problems with the Korean company. A few language challenges but after a few emails back and forth we work it out! Ive never recieved any wrong orders, or anything other than what I ordered. As a matter of fact I am working on another order from them right now, but it looks like I may have to order more this time, Im waiting on a response to my last email. It seems if I understand that I have to order 10 bundles per order....I wonder if Id have a problem reselling it?
yeah Jenny, the corresponding is a little tough. I sometimes have to send 2-3 e-mails to find out exactly what my supplier just wrote to me. Customs is another thing I deal with. I have rarely paid the same fee. Sometimes it's not too bad and other times it's way more than my last order was and I order the same amount each time. The suppliers have upped their prices in the last six months. My last order went up 11 - 13% on the certain lengths. The wefting charge increased 154% from an order I placed a few months ago. Not happy about that but what are you going to do. Its pretty sad what's going on these days and it sometimes very off putting. If you at least get the right color and length you can deal with the price changes. I still have to order in the price range above the actual length I want. It is also a real toss up with the color. I order and ask for some blacks, and mostly dark browns and the light browns. I mostly get back all black, dark brown and one or two med browns. They never send you alot of light colors thats why I think everyone is receiving black hair or very dark colors. Russian hair comes in much lighter tones but is very expensive. I do prefer Russian hair over Indian but can't handle the prices quite frankly.
Hmmm....I have to say, this is the second time they've messed up Kimberly's order, not to mention that they messed up AMM's order too, which leads me to believe they don't have the hair you want. Why would they send out three wrong batches of hair? Especially since the first time they sent it to Kim, she explained why the order was wrong and they promised to correct it. At some point, I think you have to cut your losses--and when a company completely messes up two for two tries, I think you've given them enough benefit of the doubt.
I ordered three pounds of hair directly from India and got it in less than a week and with no problems. I got it from www.indianhairs.com. the hair was all wefted.
I got the lenght I ordered but I too have heard of the wefting thing reducing inches but never from an american company only from a company that sources the hair like in India.
Kim, I would send the hair back and tell them to send you what you ordered. That's crazy.
I've heard some nightmare stories about ordering direct from India. First of all, you have to order in bulk, and invariably there are communication challenges. Plus, the feedback I've heard doesn't lead me to believe that their product or service is any better or more dependable than U.S.-based companies.
I do know that Sherrie has ordered hair directly from Asia with some success. I can't speak for her, but I get the impression that it's fairly good hair for a very reasonable price--not excellent hair, but if that were readily available, we wouldn't be having all of these problems.
I really wouldn't recommend trying to fix this situation with Bliss--they obviously don't have or are not willing to send what you want, so the best course of action would be to get a refund.
Kimbearly~ Sorry, I had never ordered from Bliss before. I had only seen their "produts" page with the 16 - 19" set up. I had never clicked on the "buy" button to see they then list the individual lengths. Yes, you clearly ordered 19" and that is just bad ethics on their part for sure. You can lift the color to med brown, but I would try and get them to resend again the right color you ordered. Once you add chemicals to the hair it will not last as long as it usually would. When I first started ordering Indian hair direct from India, the company had a price list set up exactly like that with a varied length range and price for each range. There was no "buy" button that took you to another page with individual lengths. I had to e-mail them and say I wanted 18" of wefted hair. They e-mailed me back and gave me a price for wefted hair, as the price list they sent was for loose hair only. I was okay with paying more money for wefted hair and faxed them the final order stating I only wanted 18" wefted hair. They told me my order was being processed and I would have it shortly. I sent the money and I got my order within 2 weeks. The entire order came with wefted bundles ranging from 14 - 16". There was one 17" bundle. I called them and they said they gave me a wefted price for 16 - 19" of hair. They said that 16 - 19" of loose hair is then sent off to production for wefting, loosing at least 2" off the length. He said when you order 16 -19" you automatically get 14 - 17" back once it is wefted. I was floored!! I told him when I order 18" wefted I have always received 18" wefted. I had e-mailed them each time prior (at least 4 e-mails) and stated only 18" wefted. They never mentioned that I would need to order longer hair if I wanted it wefted. He would not give me my money back and said in my next order to please pay the 20 - 26" prices if I wanted to be guaranteed 18"!! Alot of companies you order from directly in India do this. From the three other companies I tried directly-same thing. I had to buy in the next price range to be guaranteed the final length wefted. I had never heard of this before. When I saw the Bliss product page I though it was the same thing. I have not found a company direct that gives you exactly the length you order. They have all had this set up. Has anyone else had this experience ordering direct from India?

Got my Bliss Today and I still got BLACK HAIR instead of the Med. brown I ordered. I also wanted 19 inches of hair and "some" strands when pulled make it to 19 inches but most are about 17. To the poster before me we did have a choice of length and since you pay by the ounce the longer you choose the less you get. I clearly marked the box of 19". What do I do now - AMM??? Can I lift this color to a med. brown? If so what do I use? Also, My hair has split ends too I will post pictures tonight when my hubby comes home.

This happens quite often unfortunately when ordering Indian
hair direct. If you ever order from a company that is set up with
sizes like 16 - 19" ....and you order 18" chances are you may
end up with 16" or so. This is not right I know but it does
happen. It is much better to order from a place that offers it set
up like 16", 18", 20". You will have a better chance of getting
the length you ordered. Some places will stretch the curly hair
out and they will go by that measurement. Again, this is not
right but it's done. I would advise you to order 2" longer in curly
and wavy hair than you really want. Quite often you will find
split ends on Indian hair due to the fact that it is cut off a very
long head of hair that has not been cut in years. I always cut off
the last couple of inches off Indian hair for this reason.
Remember if you buy single drawn remi hair it is cut at the top
only and the tail is left uncut and natural. Single drawn is made
up of short and long natural hairs. This is why it is uneven with
all different lengths at the bottom and sometimes split. Double
drawn Remi is cut straight at both ends. This hair is almost
double in price and better quality with less chance of split hair
on the ends. It can take up to 12 bundles of single drawn remi
to make 1 bundle of double drawn remi. If you can't afford
double drawn remi then I suggest getting single drawn and
ordering that extra few inches and cutting off split hair. If you
see someone selling double drawn remi hair for the same
prices or close to single drawn remi then question it. The
chances are it may not be the real deal!! Your may be getting
single drawn which someone has cut off the ends to make it
look double drawn or you may be buying non-remi hair, which
is hair root & ends mixed in different directions (not good
quality). Double drawn should be the exact thickness at the
head and tail and all the hair should be exactly the same length
from top to bottom. Just a few words of advice to look out for.
Somone who does not have a great knowledge of hair may be
fooled and think it really is double drawn remi. It is much more
expensive.
I have heard mostly good things about Bliss and Nature Girl. I
have Nature Girl samples and they look really nice. You pay
$15 for the 4 samples of each texture they offer. If you decide to
purchase the hair they credit you back your money.
Another thing is the length. Usually, when places sell textured hair by length, they don't stretch the hair and then measure it- they measure it unstretched. Deep wave 26' is 26" when wavy, not flat. It's not 24", either. That last part kinda bugs me because it's not a mistake, nor a difference of opinion, but they actually knew they were shorting you two inches. Cheeeeesy.
Kimbearly * Magin, I hope your orders arrive as you hope.
Seriously? Bliss hair is OK. Is it worth the money they're charging? Who knows. Has anyone worn it for longer than a year? Just by sight and feel, it's not any different than a freshly snipped pony you can buy on eBay for a mere fraction of the cost. And yes, I know there's a multitude of issues going that route too.
I'm not an impossible person to please. But to screw my order up to this extent? I mean, they got NOTHING correct with it - not the color or the length or the texture. I think the worst thing to me is that they didn't see a problem with sending it off to me anyway.
You don't get a second chance to make a first impression.
I placed an order to Bliss yesterday and got a call back today that the hair I ordered wasn't available till 2/10 or 2/13. I took the quick responce to be a good sign of customer service. I hope I'm right, and I hope the quality/color are consistent with my order. Ahh...the suspense

As far as customer service goes, Nature Girl seems to rank the highest. As far as hair quality goes, Bliss seems to be the best. I believe amm dismay comes from customer service issues and getting the wrong color/length.
Indianhairs is not as good as NG or Bliss. But it is a good cheaper alternative. You get like a pound of that stuff for half the price.
I'm satisfied with my NG though... my transactions both went smoothly and I love the hair. I'll try Bliss one day though, but thus far, NG is the best quality I've ever bought before.
