Right again, as usual, JF, your analysis is correct, yet again, as usual.

Before I start, yes, I believe she's a few psi over the maximum recommended pressure on those lips these days.

Given that, this is actually a very interesting discussion if you look at it from a different angle. Imagine, if you can, that you had never seen Hunter Tylo and her lips before. Now go look at this picture again: http://gemini_galnj.tripod.com/post-2-1083956600.jpg

If we had run across this picture on WireImage or the like, I could guarantee you, that someone - probably multiple people - would have come over here praising the really stylish and cute short cut on this actress (myself included). You'd have complimented how the bangs bring out her eyes, how the style complements her face shape, and how it lends her whole face a rather intensely beautiful look. She almost looks like a cross between Kelly LeBrock and Bobbie Phillips (if anyone other than me knows who Bobbie Phillips is: http://www.tvtome.com/images/people/17/3/59-3904.jpg).

The problem is, that you HAVE seen Hunter before and remember that, with long hair, she looks pretty spectacularly like this: http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id=1803471095&cf=premiere&photoid=198000&intl=us

This is very similar to both Alanis Morisette and Sheryl Crow cutting their hair. Both of them cut their hair to a short-medium length, which was widely decried as a bad move. However, it wasn't until both went to much shorter, less unflattering cuts that it became apparent that the medium length cuts were actually pretty darn cute. The initial shock of the major change (especially if you liked the previous style a great deal) will preclude any objective look at how flattering the new style is in and of itself.

In other words, if Hunter goes even shorter, you'll wonder why she didn't keep that cute flippy bob...even while hoping she'll follow Sheryl's lead and grow it all back out.

Has anyone seen the cover of USA Weekend, the publication distributed in weekend newspapers owned by Gannett? Shannen Doherty, shown on the cover, has finally grown out her bangs long enough to have hair that looks just like Hunter Tylo's hair in her glory days:
