I asked them about their hair (as heard bad reviews) they say its indian hair which is processed over a few days (im sure she said) well thats their natural colours anyway, they also have funky colours which is just monofibre. Even for £25 you can get a certificate and learn the course and always use another hair. They also sell the pre-tips which you can use for loose hair. I think it would be best to do that as at £12.50 per pack of 10, it would cost anything between £160 - £200 just for enough for a full head. I Had a shot at the pre-bonds today and was surprised at how easy it is (as im a fusion girl)
I will pm you with the details when they contact me and wil maybe see you there
Im not sure where its being held yet chick but i will defo let you know. Its £25 for the training or if you buy the kit, they deduct the £25 off the cost of the kit. I think the kits are £99 and £150 or something similar to that. The only reason i know is because we have a new Sassy (salon services) just opened up near where i stay and they had a girl from Balmain in earlier today to demonstrate extensions and she mensioned it to me. She took my number and says she will call me for details. I stay just outside Glasgow area so it may be near there. Where do you stayGinger?
yeah but you have to be a level 3 stylist to actually get a HABIA qualification. But you can still get training off anywhere else but and you would be trained to do extensions but ust not be HABIA qualified. (not that it really makes much difference so long as you had good training)
Im insured through Swinton, how much are gel Amanda?
This is interesting....I have contacted Balmain who state that you dont have to be trained or be qualified as a Hairdresser. If you pay the training course fee anyone can go along to the training course and as long as your upto par they will give you the certificate to prove your trained and then you can start applying hair extensions to clients. (this is just not to be a trainer - just applying hair extensions)which is what I want to learn how to do professionally!
I also checked out another company called Hair X, they come along to your home and train you on a one to one basis. I think the price is £750 +VAT and then its off you go to let loose on peoples heads.
I suppose if you have a flare for this then you pick it up really quickly!!
Phewww!!

Hey everyone take a look at this I found it on the web then someone sent me an email about it!!

I have level 1 in hairdressing and have done two hair extension courses and am insured with Gel Insurance. I have public liability with them and Gel are through the hairdressing federation xxxx
To actually be qualified in extensions in the Uk you need to get a HABIA qualification (Hairdressing and beauty Industry Authority) Im not sure whether after you get this qualification that you can just teach people, i think you may need a further course with them to be able to give this qualification to pupils. To get a HABIA qualification and take their class you need to be a level 3 stylist.
Other than that there are a few places who will train you in extensions (who may not actually be HABIA qualified) take your money, then leave you to get on. You then may find it hard to get insured for public liability as you are not fuly qualified.
I suppose there are a few people who scam people and we have all probably heard it about it on the news etc about scammers!! on Ebay and other places aswell. I do think that Ebay should have strict policy/rules for sellers who are just scamming.
The other thing I wanted to ask members is what do you have to do to set up as a Trainer to teach people hair extensions, in the UK I would have presumed that you would need to be licensed or something I am not sure. I have read with the big companies like Racoon, Prostyles, Balmain etc that they wont give you a certificate until you are up to the standards that they expect. Not sure if this is true. What training has this Connect-2-Hair woman had or offering. Probably extortionate prices etc!!!
Ooooffff!!!

You both should send one e-mail, using Amm’s e-mail address, notify e-bay of this board and include links directly to were we (the consumers of E-bay) exchange our experiences of their vendors which they allow to run amok, I'm sure they will have a change of mind pretty quickly. Let them read posts of us complaining directly about this vendor and her horrible products & conduct for which she was finally banned from this board.
Shel221 if eBay denied you of anything or ignored your attempts to set the record straight they owe you an apology and Amm this should protect you when she sets out on a rampage to get back at you for complaining about her and trying to get a refund.
Once e-bay is notified of all her e-mail aliases, the fact that she is lying about being a trainer for the Princes Trustand how she tries to get people banned who complain about her products, they will have no choice but to ban her as she has been banned from this board.
That's the difference between me and the rest of the world! Hapiness isn't good enough for me! I demand euphoria!

I know with false advertising on Ebay that it can be reported especially if it is something you have received and its not like in the auction. Also if paid via paypal they will give the money back to you. I would definetly be informing Ebay as the hair advertised is nothing like the hair you received and the weight is totally different.
I have looked at the website of softgentlebreeze (connect-2-hair) and noticed that it states that she is a Trainer for the Princes Trust to train people how to do hair extensions, this is false information as I have checked with the Princes Trust and they stated that her website is false advertising, they are also going to be looking into it. They stated that they do have trainers who do hair extenion training but she is not one of them. When looking at the website it gives the impression that you get the training free with a grant that is given by Princes Trust and all you do is go along to the local Jobcentre for an application form complete it and hey presto your accepted. I do think that there is a lot of false advertising goes on everywhere and if its not reported then I suppose people like ourselves will be caught up in the process of it all.
I do state though that all this bad publicity will make people very curious!!
Whoa!! Ginger
