I'm attaching wawa to my head right now. And I've had PH
before. I also used a few strands of wawa on my previous
install.
I had curled that. This I'm leaving straight. I think the
ends frizzed up worse on the wawa but I also think that could be a
function of styling abuse...
I have a bunch of wawa 27/613 22 inch. I think it's sooo pretty, and soft....if you want a sample, I can send ya some. I'm looking to sell it actually, lol. I'm hooked on PH for the length as I braid my extensions in, and double it over.
OH! I have never tried PH straight, just the 50 and 28. The wawa I have is straight and compared to 50 or 28 PH, I feel that it is much silkier.
I also have auburn wawa wave on a weft. I think it feels courser than the PH.
Confused yet? heheh.

Isn't PH monofiber, meaning it can't be flat ironed
or curled with a curling iron? And WaWa is thermofiber so you can
do both to it?
Yeah, that's the idea. Although some therm wearers have reported that
it responds better to hot rollers anyway, which also work well with
monofiber. You can curl monofiber with an iron, if you're careful
(doing a strand test beforehand and keeping the heat low, etc.), but I
wouldn't recommend doing it on a regular basis because I do think you'd
fry the hair.
Re WaWa. First of all. NO BODYWAVE. It SUCKS, it frizzes, it's horrible.
As for the straight: I discovered the secret to curling it with an iron.
I know that some of us (Sherrie, Amm) have been able to get those
gorgeous curls out of Straight WaWa (HSF too). Others of us have
not.
Here is the secret:
IT CURLS ACCORDING TO HOW IT COOLS, not how it heats. I'll post pics
later. I got some GORGEOUS, big, un-curly WAVES out of ALL of my
straight thermofibers (including amm's AD).
Heat it up (i.e. roll it on an iron). If you're like most of us when
you "Unroll" it, it will just sit there having done nothing.
When it's still warm, wrap it around WHATEVER SHAPE you want it to be
in. No kidding - your finger, a large roller, your hand, a pencil. Hold
it till it cools. Let go. Voila. It is amazing.

Exactly. Curling WaWa is all about how it cools. But when you do it right, it curls beautifully and lasts a long time.
The only long thermofiber we've found so far is through American Dream. It's available in 18", 36", and 60" lengths and it's on wefts. And the early reports are that it is ROCKIN' hair.
Meguthrie, My PH (4 packs) just arrived. I have 4 different brown colors but they actually look kinda reddish. Do you want me to send you some so you can see if you like it? E.

Hey guys. I have gotten thermofiber from the shop down the street. Its
great hair really, but Its HIGH maintance. I will look up the web site
for it later. Ok this stuff is so silky smooth. I love it. BUT the
problem is it takes FOREVER to curl. I put the heat on for a min
and let it cool in my hands and sometimes it works then others it
didnt. But I had to sit there with each strand for a min each. i
believe that it is only good for weaves that you are gonna leave the
crown/bangs area. This way you only have to style the hair once and it
will keep its shape and all of your hair except the crown and bangs is
in a braid and you can style the crown and bangs with no problems! I
did my moms hair with it and it was wonderful but she had a problem
with it feeling a little fake, But yet again, she had DRY hair. I loved
how it looked! so natural! AND she said that it heald the curl
perfectly after she washed it. It STILL has the curl after taking it
out, washing it again, and shoving it in a bag... Kinda scares me
actually lol. You guys know if there are any brands that curl faster?

I can tell you that my experience with the ebonyline thermal was that at first it was harder to curl (curling iron). It took longer to curl than my human hair extensions that I had the thermal mixed in with. But after about a week or so, it got easier to curl. I had it in for 2 months and by the time that I took it out it was curling pretty much exactly the same as my human hair extensions. The key was letting it cool without pulling the curl.
Oh....thanks Mer for mentioning wetting the thermal fiber, I had almost forgotten that! When I first installed it, thats the only way it would curl. I would run my fingers under the faucet then just run my wet fingers down the strand of thermal before curling it. But after a week or so with it in my hair it didnt require being wet to curl.

I saw the hair today and I swear it looks like a loofah sponge hanging around her waist. The point where the extension is attached and half the length of the hair is perfect. It's the ends and about 4 inches up that are horrendous.
