Feria is NOT an metallic color, it's just a regular oxidative dye.
I would go see a professional, someone who is good at color correction. You will probably have to pay big money to get this fixed, but it does sound fixable.
By the way, I have clients who use that ghastly Pantene which contains tons of wax, and it does end up drying out and weighing down their hair.
so do you all think colorfix is an option or should I do the bleach first? whoever asked my hair is naturally dark blonde and now it is dark dark auburn and very damaged. The thing mainly for me is to repair my hair because its starting to break and is becoming more and more fragile and wont hold shape or color anymore. I like the color but if I wanted to change it I cant, and it will be stick straight unless I repair it soon. Actually the color looks really good w/ my extensions, but it is dark from full head permanent dye.
At first, I wanted to get the color out to start over, but I heard tht even if you get the color out your hair still wont accept color? And also, I need to repair it so it will hold shape again(it used to be full, thick, and bouncy but now its stick straight, flat, and thinning ) I was young and stupid wen I started this process, not knowing what it would do to my hair.
If it is better to use colorfix first, is it safe to use dawn with it? Also, when you say fading does that mean removing some of the permanent color out of the hair or is that just the bleach or both? Sorry about all the questions I just want to know what Im doing =). Thanx for every1s comments and advice

I've always been under the impression that colorfix is less detrimental than a bleach bath.
the dawn will not take out your natural color. what you have
already done may have regardless of what it claimed on the box.
If you are okay with the color now cause it matches your extensions that you ahve leave it alone for a while.
all of these options will cause some further damage.
Hot oil and dawn are on the minimal damage causing end of he spectrum
(the dawn will strip away natural oils that help keep your hair in good
condition).
I'm not full on bleaching would be the most detrimental.
hot oil treatments and what not and leaving it alone are you best
chance at not needing to shave your head IMHO. trim some.
wear your clip ins that match. trim some more.
If you have pretty nearly the color you want/need for now at least wait
til your roots come in so that you head has a bit of a rest.
When you keep at it and at it what you think is bad hair turns into no hair cause it breaks off in your hands.
I guess though it is your head I'm just not clear what you want to have
as an end result. But you won't turn the fried hair back into
nice hair. you just might be able to fake it with lots of tlc

I totally agree with mochachip.i dont think you'll find more helpful advice anywhere.Leave it alone and just wear the extensions. You might get the color you want but at what cost with these other methods.Bleach at any level is going to cause more damage as will the other chemicals.Your hair doesnt sound that bad.And if it goes wrong it could go very wrong.Your hair could end up worse and you'd be out more money.Sounds like you already have spent a bit getting it to where its at.If you keep messing with it it will just get weaker and start breaking.Just give your hair some time and slowly cut out the damage. It will be a long process. But You also dont want hair thats long and fried.Keep us updated on what you decide to do.All a stylist will do is charge you alot of money to dye it more and get a good short cut.I know from personal experience. You do what works best for you.Take everyones opinions and advice with a grain of salt.Including mine.
I guess what Im asking is what do I do when the my natural color grows back in because I do not want to dye it again for fear that I would damage it. I guess what I see is that when the roots come in I will have to get rid of the dark auburn damaged hair. In that case what would be the best way to keep my hair as long as I can w/out cutting it off w/e and when my natural color grows back in what would be the best solution for hiding my short hair. Orrr if their is another solution, what would that be? Im skeptical about dying my hair again or at least until I have some length and I research more on the right colors or start going to a salon to be safe. I just want the fastest possible way to go through this period of time when Im recovering from damaged hair. Im sure the color will fade on its own so I wont have the same color for probably more than a month

you can use a semi or demi permanent just on your roots when they
come in. you shouldn't be dying your whole head everytime any
how. by only doing the roots you minimise the damage since each
piece of hair only has to be hit once. By using amilder color and
only doing your roots it will be easier to get that color out at some
point in the future when you have enough hair in decent condition to
chop off the rest and switch out the hwole lot for a color/style you
would prefer.
or you could walk around with roots. its a statement anyhow.
