I quit smoking 4 years ago after 20 years. Let me tell you, it feels SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good not to smoke anymore. You won't believe the difference in breathing even after just one week.
I used the patch for 2 days and had the most bizarre, vivid dreaming so I took them off and went cold turkey. They work very well for a lot of people, though. Don't hesitate to get a scrip' from the doctor to start. You want all the help you can get at the beginning.
The hardest part I had was while driving because I used to light up all the time in the car. You'll miss the habit of it but it gets better with time.
Stick to low carb snacks or veggie sticks of some kind to substitute for that lost feeling you'll definitely experience.
After more than 15 years of *heavy* smoking, I've finally decided to
quit this weekend. I've got my Zyban and nicotine patches, but I'm
terrified that I won't make it, lol, or that I'll gain 50 pounds.
