Dave, I guess you don't spend much around soccer moms or
mini vans. If you did you would know they generally have longer
hair that's always pulled up in a ponytail!
You're right, Hal, I don't spend any time around soccer moms or minivans. No offense to soccer moms...

I simply dont perceive long hair to be "middle/high school hair." You do - fine. I don't - that's okay too.

I think that if she really was happy with being abit larger she would
have stayed like that. Now she is in fact thinner, and I can only asume
that she wanted to lose weight. Ofcourse media and hollywood puts
pressure on celebritys, but they do on us normal people aswell. One can
only speculate as to why she lost her weight.
About the hair again... I just think she looked alot better with longer
hair, thats all. I think that she has a round face (like my self) and
that the shorter cut with the curls only brings that out even more..

I think she was beautiful as a fuller figured woman as well as now, a leaner, healthier woman. I will have to say that I do like her hair better long and fiery red but the new cut and color is very flattering too. She just looks good all the time.

I have to disagree with the "healthier" part, it's somewhat of a lie
spread by dieticians that extra weight is always bad for you. Some
people are indeed healthier at "hefty" weights, and being
fat(moderately so, anyway) is actually only unhealthy for those that
have issues that make it so. There are some minor health issues that
can't be avoided - but if you're in any way active, it's generally not
an issue.
I'm about 50 pounds heavier than I used to be, and not really any less
fit. I was always a bit unhealthy though, I am right now but not due to
my weight.

I am one of the rare people who doesn't care much about roots, unless you've got them like out to the ears or something :-P . The thing I'm noticing most is how long and pointy her chin looks! I never really noticed it when she was bigger, but now it looks weird.
More awesome than a manatee!

And what's this about "schoolgirl hair"? That doesn't even make sense. You're just trying to slap a silly insult on something you don't like in an attempt to demean it. How can you even attempt to show how it's schoolgirl hair? Is all long hair schoolgirl hair? Cutting off your hair is a sign of maturity, I suppose? Hah.
I agree with Rosalie here.
Have you ever seen Bram Stroker's Dracula???
When he comes to the door and had had all his white hair pinned up.
You know how old Dracula was?
Really really old. and he had long hair.
So he had to be plenty mature for his age, yet he still had long white hair.
And I bet if he had a show on ABC it would last longer then Less The Perfect did.
In the first 3 pics, hair hair is wearing her. I mean, it just hangs there. The last pic with the long hair is obviously enhanced with some underextensions.
The short looks good, but I think it is becasue she is so obviously happy with herself. Iread somewhere that she feels so much better, more energy and more in control of herself now that she has implemented a healthier lifestyle.
Whoever said that extra weight does not affect how healthy you are may want to do a little research. I am a healthy person and when I was pregnant, even the extra 20 pounds I had to carry during the pregnancy made my back and knees ache. Carrying around any extra weight takes a toll on your organs and joints over time.

I think the main problem here is that the Diet Nazis rely on the people
that extra weight does hurt and apply it to everyone. There are many,
many people who are perfectly comfortable with extra weight, you can
often tell it by just looking at their figure. The shape of Ms. Rue's
chin in that picture shows that she was built to carry more weight than
she does now.
Really, I don't see how 20 pounds could cause problem. There was a time
when I weighed at least 20 pounds less, and it doesn't really feel that
different, except for having a bigger belly and a bit of cushion on my
arse.
