Amm I like the way my weft bonded installs lay too...can you tell me about the Madam 2K remy? I remember you sent me a sample of it once. I need some more weft...dont want to go Bohyme again...and dont want to spend for EP .....need another alternative....ugghh
I really think I want to stick with my current method for awhile. Bonded tracks with highlight/lowlights shrinkied onto the wefts...I really like it! Although I have GOT to get my rear in gear and order some proflex to try...but there again...I need wefts!
An update - my Pro-Flex that comes with the blue backing is holding great with the ones I applied with machine weft. Damn this is so comfortable! My hair falls like a curtain, too! I think someone asked what hair I was using - it's Madam 2K Remy. I buy it locally and the owner with the Jamaican accent always says "oooooooo mon, you want de white girl hair!" Too funny.
The hand-tied weft pieces (one on each side and one in the crown/back) fell out after the first wash.) I think it had to do with the fact the machine weft was perfectly flat and the hand-tied was so thin it was wavey and I think it eventually curled up under the Pro-Flex. Machine weft hair feels fabulous with these things I have to tell you. They have not budged! The only drawback so far is that I can't wash my scalp like I can with strand by strand and it feels like I am wearing a wig on 3/4 of my head.
Christine! We stayed at the Monte Carlo and strolled through the Bellagio drooling. I spent way too long in Sephora! :) I still have your beautiful weft! I will drop you a note.
Hi amm, here`s Christine writing. So sad the package didin`t reach me at Monterey...
I don`t know what went wrong but I assume the people at the front desk
were responsible... and guess what? I`d been in Las Vegas too from the
12th until the 15th. We stayed at the Mirage and had a great time.
Great Idea, this Pro-flex tape. It sounds as if you can avoid the
pricking at the scalp where the weft is sewed. (I feel a little bit
uncomfortable with that feeling). I hope everyone `ll know what I
mean...
They way I see it cherry... I'm gonna modify that video. Those are seemless and I'm using handtied.
I bought the red tape. So here's what I plan to do: Part off like shown in the video. Lay the first strip down along that section and weave hair like the demo. Next...apply the pretaped weft over that section. I'm using red for both weft and parting. So yes, you'll want the two strips facing eachother.
Though I'm thinking you won't want much of the tape exposed over the weft. If you're going to integrate your sections...wouldn't want any exposed adhesive to adhere to loose hairs... where you don't wan't it?
I did see that video and Im still confused. They said they had 2 different types of strips didn't they? I thought they said "protein strip" but Im not 100% sure, I couldn't really hear it right.
Do I just put 2 strips of the proflex on top of each other? One on my head then one on the hair facing each other? I sort of thought that the reason the tress thing worked was because their were two different types of adhesives doing something.
Will you lose any hair taking these out? Is it easier on the hair then using latex glues? Im just so scared of glues and adhesives.
Im confused about the proflex too. Why do you have the sticky stuff on both sides? I understand it on one side but why the other? I was fiddling around today with some to see it stuck in hair and I had no luck with it. Is it just like 2sided tape or is there some trick to it?

Thanks for posting those pics Amm. I just received my order of Pro-flex strips. I'm so excited about the great feedback Amanda is giving us about her customer. I can't wait to try them out.

After you attach the weft to the hair, is the tape on the outer side exposed? Are you then placing(really sticking) the client's hair on top of the tape?
How do you then remove safely? With the citris remover?
P.S. I am patiently trying to install my shrinkies but my lg never arrived. I now need an in-between process and Im sick off my clip-ons.
In fact no its not, that's how I did it first but then found an easier way to apply it to the weft Amm. You know the blue side, I peeled that off first which left the two pieces of the white stuff then I turned them over to expose the adhesive pressed down the weft up to the middle of them and then folded them over, peeled the first strip off, pressed it on the client's head and then peeled the second white half off. I was able to see a lot better where I was sticking it rather than leaving the blue on x Its loads easier x
