I hop out the shower leave the hair a little wet throw in pink lotion and brush with the 440 for like 30 mins and then throw in the Nu Nile and brush with the 440 for like 30-45 minutes and then throw on the wave cap. If my hair is longer I use the 540 when I put the Nu Nile in. I know that people say that the 540 has that extra long handle and I wasn't feeling that when I bought it, so my pops he has some tools and stuff so I used this hand saw and sawed off the handle and now it looks like one of those military brushes.

I use that for my hard brush and the the phillips 440 for my soft/medium brush, I think that they are a good combo. Like someone said the fact that the brush is longer helps in evening up your waves because it goes across your whole head. The 540 is hella hard so you gotta work it into shape 4 your scalp.

the longer it is the more even ur waves gonna b cuz ur gonna b doing less moving wit the position cuz it can take up a wider area then lets say a palm brush
