Can you layer extensions?

get as high as you can with them, most hair can handle up to an inch below the part, thicker hair can handle a 1/2 an inch, then you need to cut the extensions in a way to flow with your hair more, simple layering with a rasor is usually all you need.

you can Definetly layer your extensions. any Liscensed  professional who installs extensions, should know how to cut and blend them, otherwise they have no business installing them.

no one leaves my chair without some type of blending and shaping.

if she cannot blend them, find someone in your area that can. if your in so cal, come on over to my Salon, i will help ya.

Layering extension hair is really quite basic, but seems intimidating at first.  You do not need to be a "Licensed professional" to learn how to do this, but there is practice and a "feel" you need to develop.  Check out Amm's site and her new hot razor...there is a little tutorial that shows how to razor many ways...just a good visual.

Everyone is different, thats not to say anyones way is better.

my cost include everything, hair, shells, or shrinks, application, blending haircut and style, i send my clients home with a gift bag of shampoo ,conditioner, boar brush and pick and i also treat to lunch or dinner depending on time they are there. IF someone does a coffee run, they  get that too. we also serve fresh coffee and filtered water and sometimes sweets are there as well. I want each of my clients to feel special and pampered when they are in my chair. The whole experience is important to me.

some stylist charge hourly, some charge for hair then install. i like to keep it simple and real straight up this way there is no confusion when i am done. what i quote u is what u pay, no hidden charges what so ever.

when i do maintence, i charge hourly. i use a timer so if i get called away or whatever, the timer stops, i never want a client feeling like i am not working on her for a few mins, yet i am still being charged. I typicially dont get inturepted, however, sometimes it does happen, and i am real fair, if i am not working on you, there is no need for u to be on the clock.

geesh- what the heck was she doing? it usually takes me no more them 2 1/2 hrs for a full install 200 strands + including a blending hair cut and style.
