I don't think they change the price for the lighter colors.. When I was trying to place an order last week (before I realized I needed the hair sooner --I needed it in 4 days-- than Camille could get it to me), she had mentioned that she had some lighter browns in.. She didn't say the price was going to be any different.. I got the feeling the price was going to be the same.. (Since I didn't get to order, I don't know for sure if this is true)
She did say that the lighter colors go FAST when she gets them in. That's understandable since anything beyond dark brown to black colored natural Indian Hair would be a pretty uncommon find. (For me it won't matter since my stylist will be coloring the hair for me..) I want 1b with some soft brown highlights/lowlights..

i am just curoius, if valencia cant post here- or purhaps she is posting under a "new" name now- how is it Phil- the husband even knew to post something over here to us???
i am not getting into this drama just an observation ya know?
His 1st note on this forum was in response to my note regarding the Remy Hair Today website.. If you look through all of his notes, he has only responded to notes regarding his wife's website.. To me there is nothing strange about this.. I mean after all these hair forums are places to exchange information about hair.. If I owned a hair company, I would be looking out for notes about my company here too..
For the record here's part of my note and the 1st response..

I've checked out the Elite Remy hair, and the hair does look gorgeous.. They happen to be one of the EP alternates I had been looking at already. (the other site you mentioned was does not have wefted hair, so I hadn't looked at their product) I would like to recommend that you check out http://www.remyhairtoday.com. I only have one beef with Remy Hair Today... I wish there was a way to mute the music on their website without having to turn off my computer speakers!!!

Hello Divavocals,
Just wanted to respond to your comment about my wife's site.
Tried to respond earlier but had to wait for activation and such ;)
I hope you have found the new sound scheme to work a bit better... I adjusted the volume to come in a bit lower and then fade to a softer background. Also there was an option to mute but it was not labeled. It is the small equalizer symbol on the upper right of the flash animation panel. I did put some wording in with that to make it more apparent though.
Hopefully these changes were noticed and make coming to the site a bit more enjoyable. I'm by no means a flash expert and I've been working on modifying the existing flash to suit the site's needs.
The site also has a forum section and we would love to have people use it some more as well if they are so inclined. right now its mainly to get some questions answered that we seem to get alot of. (i.e. FAQ)
We do welcome comment and suggestions to help improve things. I'm quite busy but I do try to help get things adjusted on the site when I can.
Thank you everyone for many of the positive comments that we have seen around the different forums. My wife works very hard to get the best quality hair out to her customers.
Hey Diva, the blonde hair in th link at the beginning of this thread from Phil shows a picture of the blonde hair that they have for sale. Its a 4 ounce weft of 23/24 inch hair. On the forum Camille says it will go to the highest bidder. Thats why I say I wonder how much it will go for!
I never got past the FAQs on their forum (lol).. I just saw the blond hair.. It really looks pretty.. It also looks right up your alley girl..
The only thing is that this forum posting is from November.. I wonder if they even still have this particular hair.. Virgin unprocessed blond hair.. Wow.. Now that sound like the "holy grail" of hair to me.. I can't imagine it's still around..
Send Camille an e-mail or call her.. She is really good about responding.. Maybe you can be the lucky bidder.. If she doesn't have it, and you're interested, I know you can ask her to notify you when she gets more in.. I'm on a "wait" list for her remy closures. (which she hasn't started selling yet, but will be offering soon) I ordered a remy closure from Luxury Locs, but after chatting with Camille a while, I like the sound of the closures that Remy Hair Today will be offering.. (not to mention the price is really right) My stylist thinks I'm crazy for wanting to use a closure (I have PLENTY of hair for blending), but ever since I saw one on a girl in EP, I've been dying to try one..

Let me know if she still has this blond hair, (and more importantly, how much you "negotiated" for it..)
I can't wait until I have free money to buy the hair I want from Remy Hair Today and Shrinkies.net.. I just have to figure out how to hide all this hair from my husband.. Looks like I might have free funds in a week or two.. I have been FORBIDDEN to use the credit cards anymore for hair.. For some reason my husband just doesn't see hair as a legitimate household expense..

Just wanted to say that originally we found this site through searching on google for remyhairtoday.com. Like it was said before we like to see what has been said and to respond to any comments as needed. I tried to join back on the 14th of Feb to respond to Divavocals that I had adjusted our website in reaction to her comments. If one person has a beef with a site then obviously others would too.
I work in IT so I'm on the computer alot even when I'm not at work. I also like to establish links and contacts so that my wife's business will grow.
We had a comment on another forum a while back that a lady said she had tried to email us but never received a reply. The problem was that my wife had replied...the lady's work email had filtered the response to a junk mail folder. By responding to her on that forum she was able to find out what happened and see that we had indeed responded.
Also my wife has found that there are alot of people; both stylists and their customers who really just do not know how to deal with hand-weft hair, or even natural remy hair because they are so used to store bought hair.
She is working on expanding what we do a little bit but wants to offer services that we can do well. The pre-tipping service is something that is done through Valencia because my wife knows Valencia and knows she does excellent work. So that is a service that my wife has provided by outsourcing it to Valencia. Trust me, we have enough work to do with just the hair alone, not to mention deal with everything else we do. We do not just order hair and then repackage and ship it. My wife spends alot of time getting the hair ready for her customers by washing and conditioning the hair once she receives it. This helps make sure hair is in good condition plus tests the wefts for any problems.
My wife does the majority of the work and responds to 99% of the emails she receives...the other 1% I respond to (under careful dictation from her) so that her hands are free. My mother and her mom help when they can.
As for hair colors and prices. Since the hair is natural hair we get all shades of browns and blacks. I dont know the numbers for the hair colors. Prices for the hair are determined by length, texture and format (bulk or weft). Special colors like that blonde are much harder to get so obviously they are priced according to demand.
Just remember...the hair is natural so it can be dyed to required colors very easily.

That made me smile. There's someone in my household that can totally relate to that.
I read about Valencia's pre-tipping service some time ago and the price was very reasonable. I've got some Malaysian Remi bulk coming and I could sure use that service.
You know during my communications with your wife it became CLEAR that she really KNEW her product from a true "been there, done that" kind of perspective.. Like she was on a mission to do this out of her own quest for (as one of the members here said.. ) the "holy grail" of hair.. I could really appreciate that she knew the deal with BSS hair.. I wish you both well.. I'll be ordering soon..

Hey Divavocals, I didn't order hair from EP yet. I want to soon.
They're pricey so that's why I'm not ready. I think it's so cool that
they can match your hair color perfectly. Have you had that done from
them? Did they cut a sample of your hair? If so, from where? how much?
I noticed with EP's hair that when you run your fingers through it, it
tangles at the bottom. Is that normal? I know they have excellent
quality so I wasn't expecting my fingers to have to work through the
bottom.

I promise you that the price is worth it.. My hair lasted two years. I brought the hair home after my last takedown and re-install, and once I clean it I could actually us it again. (I'm trying out RK Hair right now) As for the sample, they took my from the back of my head just an inch above the neckline.. The sample size was large enough to match the color and texture, but small enough that my hair blended right over the spot. Think about 1/2 the size of a yellow school pencil if you were to measure around it.

BTY, what is a closure?
No hair is tangle free. Even your own natural hair will tangle. It's the degree of tangling and shedding that you should be looking at... What you don't want is for the hair to mat. Mats are tangles from HELL, and EP hair does not mat..
A closure is a piece that is bonded or sewn in to the crown area. It would have a microfilament or latex piece under the hair that looks like a natural part.. Next time you go to EP ask them to show them to you.. A few of the girls who work there wear 'em.. and TRUST me.. You would never know just looking.. They were nice enough to let me see their hair.. I really love that they stand by their products so much that the people who work there wear the hair.. Wonder if they have any part time jobs.. The employee discount must be awesome!

Diva Vocals is your stylist doing a sew in or fusion on your hair. I just spoke with camille about the weft hair, I have not used it yet. I have only used the bulk hair.
I've tried other methods (pinchbraids, fusion) But call me old school.. I have had the best results with sew-in extensions. Besides the take down process for sew-ins isn't as long, dramatic or drying to my hair as some of the strand by strand methods.. and I like the fact that I can reuse the hair.. I may look into shrinkies (sorry I used the "S" word ) The hair can be reused, but not sure how it will hold up under some of my styling products. Then again, the takedown and the removal process is somewhat of a turnoff for me..
I know sew-ins get a bad rep sometimes, but honestly I haven't had problems with bulkiness, heaviness, or blending and styling versatility.. My stylist is very good, and I can wear my hair up or in a ponytail if I choose to.. The thing is I'm pretty simple when it comes to hair styles anyway.. When I discovered drawstring ponytails, and buns, I swear I wore a variety of them nearly EVERY day for almost three years..

Man I can't post at work, so I'm trying to type quick before my 21 month old grabs the keyboard! I had Remy Hair today, bulk, pretipped into fusions last December. The hair never, never, never, never tangled. NEVER. It was unreal. The only downside for me, was being african american, the textures didn't work out for me, and with fusion all of your hair is out. Once I put some olive oil on it, it was really soft. I haven't had it on the weft yet. Oh, the hair wasn't black, it was like a really dark brown and even had some natural highlights in it. I was only able to keep the fusions in for one month though, because I had some terrible shedding, and it looked straggly after a month. If I get some more, I will try the wefted hair from them.
Yep.. I wasn't interested in the bulk hair because like I said, the shedding and takedown process of fusion extensions was a real turnoff for me.. I'll be buying the wefted hair.. (As soon as I can wrangle some free funds..) I'm wearing my RK Hair right now.. It's going on two weeks and so far so good with this hair..

Thanks.. My Jonathan is the BOMB! His work is completely natural looking and long lasting..
Yes he sizes the wefts and cuts them to fit each row as he installs.. We used the RK machine wefted hair. However, the top three tracks we used the RK handtied wefts.. RKs handtied wefts were unlike any handtied wefts I've ever seen before.. They looked more like mini versions of the machine wefts..
Camille's wefts are the "traditional" style of handtied weft, and they must be sealed when you cut them. Or buy yourself some Fray Check and seal the wefts yourself. If you've never done this use some cheap BSS hair to practice with. Camille offers a service where she will seal the wefts for you if you don't want to attempt this..

I just read through this thread and wanted to comment on how impressed I was while reading your comments back and forth to each other. It's a breath of fresh air to see that it's possible on this forum to have differences of opinions, talk about them, and move on without hurtful words. I hope that it's noticed by others, and your power of example in this thread will turn this board back to the main focus-hair, where can I get it, how much is it,do you like it,have you tried it, what do you think of this hair and on and on!

Thanks.. I think Sherrie and I conducted ourselves very well.. . We were even able to sing Kum Bai Ya afterwards.. Life's too short to get your panties in a bunch on a forum chat with name calling and such.. What the he** would that accomplish.. So I say forget the drama.. I came here to talk about hair.. just like you said "where can I get it, how much is it,do you like it,have you tried it, what do you think of this hair".. The SIMPLE things in life..
Sherrie, I was on Remy Hair Today's site yesterday, and they have an announcement on the front page about this elusive virgin blond hair.. I sure hope they still have it, and that you can get it.. I would LOVE to see what the heck this hair looks like.. Let us know what Camille says when she contacts you.. I hear she's playing catch up on e-mails after just returning from vacation.. So she may be slower to respond than normal.
