Hey Mokipono, I've tried monky barz too and I had a lot of shedding.
That probably is one of the best glues out there...in fact I still have
some sticks and the glue gun if you're interested.
I found that anytime you pre-tip there will be shedding. The only time
I had no shedding with fusion was when I used his and her nail shaped
pre-tipped. There wasn't ANY shedding.
The problem I had with his and her hair was the pre-tipped hair slid
out after two weeks and I don't have oily hair. I was able to re-apply
them and they would hold and still no shedding but after a month the
hair was crap.

Hi Guys, well i dont pre tip myself i use bonding sticks from a company called jason paul here in the UK also Im currently testing another one from ace adhesives on ebay which is great so far been wearing them for 5 weeks now lost 4 whole bonds ( have been wearing helmets alot though and have in 22inch!) but shedding is minimal, be warned though the seller wendiandco (from ace adhesives) is a bit of a nutter and is capable of pretty abusive emails as my sister found out when trying to get shipped to australia but thats another story! not sure if she ships to the US but can only ask! trick with bonds is keep the glue hot (correct temp gun) and bonds small and always use silicone to mould, also you can use a purging tool to seal the top and bottom of the bond for extra security, i dont but i know some that do, i love strand by strand it give you loads of freedom to blend colours and do the bonds the size you want, i offer my clients an optional 6 week maintenance app and remove after 3 months to avoid damage, booked 2 months ahead so doing something right! Blimey sorry for the novel ladies!! I do go on!!

OK-this forum has prompted my own research and I think the shrink***s might be better than fusion. Just went to see a stylist today (she happens to post on this board on occasion and is in Troy, MI) and I'm convinced that this is a better way to go because of shedding issues. I'm only at week 2 with my install and lose hair constantly. From looking at the stylists hair (she had shrink**s) and watching her brush it, there is no question in my mind. Will keep you posted-my new install is 8/31. Honey? What did you end up deciding?
i ended up just doing what i always did.. the bonding with the keratin.. i told her to add ALOT of hair since it sheds so much. I had them done last thursday.. i think.
so far they are awesome very little shedding. i didnt wash my hair till yesterday.. so i let the bonds dry alot, and when i wsh my hair i only use conditioner on the bottom. also this time i am wearing them wavy a lot instead of ironing them all the time.
i will let u guys know what happens in another week or so.. if they shed.
