Well I'm not sure where to begin.. but off the top of my head Aninnina, I do think you are generalizing a bit much here.. Not all Americans buy cheap Asian hair, not ALL name brands use Indian hair and certainly not ALL Asian hair is stick straight or over processed.. Unprocessed Asian hair is readily available, and it is QUITE lovely too.. Lastly, you are aware that India is considered by many to be a part of Asia??
That said, the "average" extensions wearer does not know Indian from Asian from Rabbit hair. For that matter there are quite a few hair stylists not just in the United States, but worldwide who also are not that familiar with the differences between the various hair being sold out there.. They do not know single drawn from double drawn and they certainly don't know the source for the hair they buy and use..
For example last Saturday I met one of the HEAD stylists from Jose Eber's salon.. and I had to help assist him in selecting hair for one of his celebrity clients. He had purchased hair from His & Hers and well.. let's just say she was having a hair crisis, and needed that hair replaced.. He did not know Indian hair from horse hair and I won't even go into the long explanation of what remy hair is that I had with him.. He really thought hair on a weft was just hair on a weft..
The point is this, just because you wear or install extensions does not mean you necessarily know about extensions hair or the quality of the product.. The women on this forum are a pretty rare exception to this however.. There's quite a bit of knowledge here from both wearers and stylists alike..

I agree, whatever hair fits that individuals budget is why there are so many brands and so many choices to make. That is why I am glad this board is here to help professionals like myself and other's learn as much as you can. Consider the fact that I am in a small town between four major cities and there are probably a handful of stylist who know anything about beautiful hair that is reusable and simply flawless. A lot of people don't see the end result that you still pay more for just buying regular beauty supply hair. All I'm saying is there would be alot of upset BSS if more individuals knew about quote "the good hair". So I say to each it's own and a lot of people just don't get on the internet and search learn. I guarantee you more DIYer's on this board know more about single drawn, double drawn hair than most licensed professionals. I am not putting the professionals down, but I am one of them and I sure as he** didn't know anything about any of this until I found this board. Does this company you speak of send out samples?
Second the bohyme....pretty new to extensions, but I got bohyme first and I am just so impressed...I also torture my hair daily like Sherrie does, too!:)
I really do think that Bohyme coats will silicone! Just last week I used one of their wefts to pre-tip it myself, and I could feel the greasiness on my fingers from handling it. I was able to use keratin glue to make tips, but Bohyme tips (at least the hand made one, I'm not sure about the 'ready made' ones) still do break down upon wearing.
What is it double drawn and single drawn hair? I am waiting for samples. Should I adress that issue?
TIA
I would suggest that you do a you search through the past posts here.. plenty of posts here already which cover these definitions. You might also talk to your stylist about this since she's already recommended a particular kind of hair to you, she should be able to explain these definitions to you..

barb- just jumping in here to say this and i will not say anymore-
this is a nice friendly forum of profeessionals and Diyers HELPING one another- if you dont have anything nice to contribute here- and you dont come on here to do nothing other then cause stir ups- then PLEASE do us all a favor, and dont participate on this board-
it doesnt bring life to anyone with all this banter back and forth and it certainly doesnt make you look good either.
with that said, if you can participate in a nice manner like everyone else, then you are welcome, if not, i am sure you too will be banned next.
