I'm not sure they will take too much color or they may turn odd colors! Or worse,both! You may have to color them with red first and then put brown over top. I know it sounds crazy and everytime I tell someone this they freak out and say they hate red hair and dont want any in their hair at all. But the thing is,blonde hair (highlights or all over,whatever) usually has all the red stripped from it,and in order to go back to brown you have to add some back in first or it could turn green or greyish.
I would go to a pro if you have the money to do so,but if you want to try it yourself,just remember to add a red first as your filler color and then a brown.If you need adivice you could go to loreal's website but I personally prefer Clairol at www.clairol.com and they can give you advice and instruct you on to it without having a hair blooper. i have naturally dark brown hair and want to color it back to it's original color. Right now it's highlighted with blond hair and it looks real good. I want to know if I buy dark brown if the highlights will take too much color and not be natural looking if i color it my self? Any suggestions?
