Didn't want to do this either. It actually is making me sick to my stomach. But she has left me no recourse.  It's all too crazy if you ask me. I'm still in shock.

Oh definitely do it! If shes just being a little snit and wont even try to ccoperate with you then let her destroy her rep/business. If I was in her place and this was happening I would just say look, free hair, free install and thats the end of it. Lets move on ya know.

I think you should both name and shame your stylists, so that others can avoid them like the plague.

~disgusting service.

please give us an update,, in regards to the cc company, you need to make sure and call them and tell them you were given fraudulent unprofessional hair extensions,, putting the hair on 5 hairs,is absolutely contraindicated,, and her not having you sign anything or giving you after care instructions is basically malpractice,,,,, she not only didn't give you any follow up care,,as she promised, but she basically didn't give you any aftercare instructions and having to dye your hair 3 times to try and get them to match,, and so you are filing a claim for not getting the service you paid for,,as the 1/3 of the hair extensions have fallen off in the first 10 days,, and be strong with the cc company...

I am so sorry to hear of your problems too, Tinker. Mine are yet to be resolved. The sylist I dealt with has refused to do even a partial refund. I contacted So. Cap. to no result. I also filed a BBB complaint and they have now dropped it saying that we are not going to reach a resolution.

I am still waiting to hear on the CC reversal. My boyfriend paid for a new install with me from another stylist which looks great so far. We totally can't afford this though. Even thinking about it makes me want to cry. I will NEVER pay for a "professional" install again.

i agree with kateadreena -

name and shame... a lot of women read these boards, many coming here looking for a local extensionist. on my local news channel there is also a public interest guy who will follow up with stuff like this - contractor horror stories, scammers, etc etc. often just a call from them saying we are going to look into this case is enough bad publicity that folks settle right up.

if you can't afford financially to suck it up when it wasn't your fault...i say go for it!

When you contacted your credit card company they immediately reverse the charges until the disbute is over.  The stylist will receive a letter that the charges were reversed and she will then be forced to comply with your compromise due to the fact that she will lose the whole sale if the credit card company finds her at fault.  I am a salon owner and I know how it works.  I had a customer use a stolen credit card and the charges were reversed and I lost the sale because of not checking ID on the user. Good luck to you.

I am so glad that you took out the remaining bonds and had a new installation. They would have ripped out what was left of your hair! The hair it was attatched to should have been the same amount as the extension hair, otherwise it will pull out your hair because your follicles can't handle the weight!
Also, from my own experiences with fusion, the glue cannot handle being dyed more than once, otherwise it starts to break down, especially if you are going a lighter color. If she was coloring and then washing your hair right after install that is a major no no because you shouldn't wash for at least 24 hours to allow the bonds to set!
I wish you the best and please don't think every professional would install so badly or offer such bad customer service! I feel your pain.....

I'm so sorry to hear when that happens to a paying customer.
