Hi, this is my first post on this forum, and I am sorry to say that it will be a bad review of a company that I recently ordered glue from.  I was reassured by the person whom I was ordering from that the glue that I was ordering, Safe Grip, would be feasible to be used with extension wefts because it bonds hair to skin, and unfortunately, my client had a need for that type of glue because liquid gold was put in incorrectly and resulted in their hair being torn out in sensitive areas.

I ordered from this company, called Hair Dynamics, the first time with my credit card.  They only offered priority shipping, so instantly I bought this glue for the price of $45.  The man who I spoke with at customer service seemed nice enough.  It didn't turn up a week later, so I called back to find out what the problem was.  Apparently they had assumed that my card was fraudulent so they didn't even bother to tell me that the card had not been bothered with, and that they didn't process it, after they reassured me that if there were any problems with the card, they would give me a call.  I then asked them to put the order through again with the same card, and to call me if there were any problems.  By now, this was getting frustrating already.  I was supposed to do the install with the glue the week before, and everything had to be put on hold due to these problems.

When the glue arrived, I had already done the install (couldn't wait any longer) with Liquid Gold.  I figured that when LG started to come out in certain areas, I would replace it with this new glue.

Well I tried this new glue last night, just a dab, and even today, the glue is not dry!  Not only that, but the bond from the weft to the scalp has already lifted and was not stuck down in the first place.

I called the company back asking them what the could do about this, even asking for advice, and all that I got was bad attitude from the man that I spoke to.  He stated that I took up too much of their time at the company (this was my third phone call, the other two before were simply trying to order the stuff) and that they couldn't take back anything that was used (which is understandable).  The problem that I had is that the man was extremely rude and was getting offensive over me telling him what the problem was.

The client is still in the need of something to attach wefts to skin without burning their scalp.  If anyone has any ideas, I would be delighted to hear.  And please watch out for Hair Dynamics.  I don't want anyone to have to go through the hell I've been through.

I have not heard of this company, but I think I  have heard of 'Safe Grip.  I think Safe Grip is for attaching hairpieces.  Some of those glues are good for wefts, and some not.  I think some ladies use Vapon No Tape.

For machine wefts, why don't you try the Proflex tape?

www.chrissyv.com makes a great glue, but it's super expensive.  It's also a strong latex base, and it does burn the scalp on some people.

Good luck!

Yikes, that sounds terrible. Can you dispute the charges on your credit card?

Hi, thank you for the glue ideas.  The company is being extremely unhelpful and are unwilling to work with me.  Since it is a Visa gift card, I doubt that I can dispute the charges.  I have, however, filed a consumer report on this company because I wish for things to be taken further.

call Visa. I think the cover all of their products.
Someone told me that Hollister's medical adhesive was said to be good for things like lace fronts and reportedly can last up to a month so that may work.

If you can't get your money back perhaps you can use the glue for other things like, oh I don't know? Arts and crafts projects? Um, practical jokes, really there's many things you can use this glue for if the hair option is out.

Sorry about the crappy customer service.Metalgirl is right though.safegrip is meant for attaching hairpeices and wigs. Its not suitable for bonding in extensions.I'm suprised you were able to even get it to work at all.

Maybe you would like a bonded tape method such as protac tape. Many people have had good luck with that.

Thank you for warning people about them.I know I wont order from anyone who would treat their customers like that.

Im sorry about this and what a hassle! Is there some type of medical adhesive you could use? I saw on another forum (but it was so long now I cant remember which) that a woman had alopecia so she needed something that would be medical grade and bond hair to skin and she found it and it looked great! Seamless and she was lifting the hair so you could see. It might have been BHM but i just dont remember darn it.
