Thanks Dave.

Hope I get to visit Japan in the next year or so.
Indeed, I will try and visit a Buddhist temple… I have this burning question that I need the right answer to: “What is the sound of one hand clapping?” LOL (an oldie, I know)

Hi Jacqui

Hmmm…illusions that are proved right. I can think of a few of those too. I see your point.
How wonderful it must be to love people so freely and deeply – how fortunate for the giver and the recipients!

My friend has short hair – not exactly a Hugh Jackman look-alike, either, but quite a hottie in his own way. Seeing him on Saturday. Don’t care about a hair-style as we were talking on the phone today and he said some magic words…..are you growing your hair?…It really suits your personality…I love long hair ..why don’t you wear it loose more often?

Sounds like an absolutely delicious date Uzi! And the sashimi sounded like it was tasty too! Any chance this guy has long hair? If I missed a description on an earlier post...sorry.

Oh yeah and unconditional love....ie - love without condition. yes - my 4 receive unconditional love from me. I love them without judgement, or expectation. Regardless of what way they wear their hair, who they date, what their political or religious views are and regardless of any crime they can - or ever wil commit. So yes, I can say I love them unconditionally. Just as I love my parents and husband unconditionally. Whether or not I can love every person in the world is irrelevant...only relevance is that I can love (and be loved by)unconditionally some one - that means it does exist (for me) and I believe in it.

I also believe in the illusions - since a hundred years ago, many things that were said to be illusions are now reality. Who am I to say what else may or may not be true? I keep an open mind to the possibilities.

Anyway - So glad you have fun!!! Now, on to date numero duo! When, where? How bout the hair?

Jacqui

Uzma/Uzi,

Just late (as usual?) to chime in and say basically the same as everyone else has. Glad to hear the date went well.

If you ever get to Japan, be sure to visit at least one Buddhist Temple, Shinto Shrine, and Zen Rock Garden. Very peaceful places.

Hi Tina

I think we have evolved into an e-community here.
I belong to a number of non-hair forums where this has happened after about 3-6 months of the same people consistently posting and sharing their viewpoints etc.

Nothing to do with popularity - I know the same support would be available for every member of this forum.

And just look at the "Karen - are you MIA" thread on the Reality Shows board.
Just goes to show that HB is frequented by some very caring people who understand what friendship is about, no matter how remote, recent or temporary it may be.

That is truly precious.

Love and hugs

Uzi goes on a date and she gets 41 posts!
It's pretty clear she is popular with people on this board, isn't it!

Can you imagine how many posts Uzma would get if she ever got married!!!

Hi Uzma, it sounds like you had a lovely date!

I would reckon a quiet, nice Japanese restaraunt might be better than a noisy, crowded French restaurant anyway, so it seems as if you and your fella made the right choice.

Best wishes and keep us informed lovergirl!!!

Hi Kintaro (kiss)

The food was amazing.
I mostly had sashimi, which consisted of raw mackeral, salmon, octopus (vinegared) and squid (with black sesame seeds).
Also some miscellaneous roe and smelt.
The wasabi wasn't really necessary as the seafood was so fresh.

One day, I intend to go to a traditional ryokan on Honshu or Okinawa. Eat well and bathe in hot springs. Sigh. One day....

Arigato...sayonara...and have a fun week-end K.

I hate all of the following and lots more : Fundamentalists, racists, sexists, fascists, ageists (people saying seniors = senile , kids = stupid , 18 = immature or a combo of them), and bigots for causes yet to receive their own designation.

Hey Traci

Ha ha !!!! V E R Y interesting.
Stirring conversation and intimate silences. A poetic roller-coaster!
We both peeled a few layers off of each other and liked what we found. Well, I certainly did, and we are meeting again soon, so I hope it’s mutual.

I was so engrossed in the conversation that I forgot my hair…and the ear nibbling (LOL)....and at times, myself (a good thing). No dramatic gestures with the hair tho’ Traci – this guy is wise to overt moves (will have to be subtle if/when we get into seduction mode).

Didn’t wear the chiffon as it had turned windy, cold and a little wet – typical London weather, so I ended up wearing this gothic-style dress. French Restaurant was packed and noisy so we abandoned our reservations and went to a trad Japanese place. OMG – expensive but sooo good!!

OK – I am on a high and had better shut up, now.

Thank you – everyone – for your good wishes and good advice. You are the most wonderfully supportive forum friends. I wish I could send you each a package of love. If you were here, I would hug you to bits!!!

((((((Love to you all and have a great week-end.))))))

Uzi!!! You have a date tomorrow night! Yippie! *hugs*

Sorry about the delayed response. We've had a huge project at work this week and I haven't had the opportunity to check the boards. As a matter of fact, I need to get back to work now, so I'm not taking the time right now to read everyone else's responses. I just read your initial post.

In my opinion, I would say you should wear your hair in a French Twist for dinner. Guys love French Twists. Then, after dinner when you go for your walk, if it isn't too windy (which is a big if, I'm sure) casually reach back and pull the clip out of your hair. :) This should knock him dead. If that's what you're going for.

HAVE FUN!!!!

Elissa – Thanks for the vote of confidence (not that a Philosophy board would ever happen here) but I would be no good as a Mod as I would probably ditch neutrality and take a position.

Mr Happy – Thanks for your good wishes. I will be sure to check out your website. Sounds tres interessant.

Right, I’m off to practice styling my hair for tomorrow night .

Bon Soir

A comment and a plug...

First, happy dating Uzma! I am spoiled in that while I regularly date, for the last 15 years it has always been with Mrs. Happy. Takes all that first-date stress out of it.

Second, that ear-nibbling thing goes both ways ladies! If I ever convince Mrs. Happy to grow her hair long again, one of two things I will miss is the opportunity to spontaneously go after her ear and neck. Especially the neck. Makes the girl melt. Hubba, hubba. ;)

Finally, based on what you said about your chess games, wear your hair to please yourself, because he will not care. You are beautiful, but that isn't why he asked you out.

And the half-on/half-wildly-off topic plug:
I mentioned a new group on the Announcements Board on 5/31: It is "on" for philosophy, but WILDLY off for "long hair support." It is a discussion group for people who have emotional or erotic reactions to haircuts, whether their own or other people's. I expect most who read this board are extremely UNinterested, but feel free to lurk or, even better, to post there, since y'all likely have a very different perspective that I and others can learn from. A polite discussion is ensured there, as Mr. Happy has an "in" with The Moderator.

As always, I remain,
Mr. Happy
