The trim went good! Smile My hair feels and looks soooo much better! I'll get a new length shot up soon.

DH did good. He can't go wrong really, because I have a hair cutting tool. It locks your hair in place, and you just cut off whats underneath. It even has a level to keep it straight.

I agree that the Monistat should be discontinued. Four weeks is a long enough try. As for the trim, make sure that Dh is confident AND competent. As someone who trims my wife's hair, it is SO easy to make a mistake, not like the horrors we've all seen, but a significant one, nonetheless. Start in the middle and take your time! Good luck. Since your hair is very straight, 8 months is a good interval for evening the ends. Blessings, Bob Big%20smile

Paper - I think it is so wise to have your ends trimmed just a bit.  I have been really good with getting my trimmed every 8 weeks and it makes such a big difference.  I am also lucky that I found a hairdresser who will just skim trim the ends and not go hair cutting happy.

Thanks Pburgh for your support! I look forward to seeing your pictures.

I'm going to see if DH will trim my ends tonight. There in good condition with no splits. It's just that my ends are scraggly looking and need cleaning up.

Awww im really sorry the monistat didnt work. It was worth a shot tho and its still good you got your half inch of growth. Its great you are going for trims too to keep it looking nice. I do the same thing just dont get too much taken off. Def take pics of the flexis and Ficcare too :) I should be posting points of me in a headband and some small braids soon too :)

It's been 4 weeks since I started using Monistat. I measured today, and I got the usual half an inch growth for this month. I decided to stop using it, it didn't help my growth and it was making my hair limp and greasy.

I'm really unhappy with my ends. I'm going to have DH trim them for me. It will be my first trim in 8 months. I've decided too, to trim on a regular basis from now on. I want to keep a nice blunt hemline.

I've got 2 new flexi's coming in the mail and my Ficcare will be here Monday, can't wait!!!

Paper,
Your hair Flexis
are beautiful.  Your hair is looking beautiful too and very healthy looking.  It is actually looking long too!  Yeah for finally getting to a "long" length.

I love highlights! I had them for years to cover grays then I dyed my hair one color. Now I have natures highlights and there free!!! Tongue

I forgot to mention my mini goal, I think it's obvious. To have all virgin bangs! Almost there.

Thanks Pburgh! I can't wait to have really long salt and pepper hair, it's going to be awesome!

Hi Bob! I love your storys. Wow, she's had short hair a long time, no wonder your so surprised. I'm glad you like my pictures!

Thanks Mike, I'm glad you like my hair color. It's not easy not dyeing, especially for women. I appreciate the compliment! Smile I'm glad you said something to the lady about her hair, I'm sure you made her day!

Very nice color. I like it. I do have to say I guess growing it out is on the rise. I went to my doc's last week and one of the desk gals is growing her out She isn't going real long but looks like to her shoulders at lest. Yes I did say something about it. LOL.

I think it's the coolest thing in the world when a woman grows out her hair. We have one woman where I work who's about 50, and I NEVER thought I'd see her with anything but a crop. Well, she's gone 3+ months w/o a cut, and she says she's unsure about her ultimate success, but she wants to be long one more time in her life. What a difference so far. Her wavy texture has been unobservable thanks to the closeness of her cut. The best thing is that she knows she looks SO much better now.
As for yours now, Paper, the styles all make me smile! Big%20smileBig%20smileBig%20smile Bob

P.S. Oh, it's worth noting that I've known this woman since 1994!
