Does anyone know what the best hair brush for long fine hair is? I have tried natural boar bristle brushes, but they don't seem to work very well. I like to feel the bristles brushing my scalp as well and the boar bristle doesn't seem to penetrate my hair and touch my scalp. I have heard that people with really fine hair shouldn't brush their hair, but if I don't brush mine it looks really messy. Any suggestions?

Instead of brushing your hair you could comb it really good instead. It makes it look really smooth. -Beth

Hi,Cricket makes a bunch of good brushes. Also Graham Webb is the best of the boar's head. The key with a brush is to get one that does not have the round knobs on the end of each bristle. Never use a nylon brush. It will rip and tear your hair. I have a good Revlon brush that has soft tips and I have a couple of Crickets that are good.Hope that helps,Karen> Does anyone know what the best hair brush> for long fine hair is? > Jennifer, thank you for your advice. What brand of paddle brush do you use? I have tried so many different types, but can't seem to get it right. Do you find you hair gets really messy quickly because it is fine? I seem to have to brush it constantly or it gets really tangled and well, messy.

> Leslie, Yes, my hair does get messy a lot of the time. It also tangles. I use a paddle brush that does not have a name on it except for "Scalp Massager". It is white with plastic bristles. I have had it for years. I have been looking for it so I could get a new one and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I usually shop at a place called The Beauty Store here in Dallas. They carry just about every brand known but they don't have this brush. It is great. I really feel it stimulating my scalp, where as no other brush has ever produced the same effects. I would suggest going to a beauty supply and asking for a "scalp massager" brush and see if you can find a good one. I do think this helps my hair to grow faster and produce excellent shine. Just don't brush aggressively, do it gently.Hope you find one soon!Jenn H.
