My hair is normal to dry, drier in winter months. That's an excellent piece of advice. I've heard that so many times, but not the way you described re the ponytail test. I've found myself conditioning much more at the bottom than at the top.Take care and continue to post...Bye for now,Jade21Do you have dry hair by chance? That's very interesting about the stylist's tip for your daughter's hair. I could never do that with my hair. I found that it was much better to let the conditioner sit on my hair, uncombed for a few minutes, rinse and then comb. The other method generated much more hair loss.Bye for now,Jade21To everyone -- what's the best hair tip you've ever> received?> (I am new here so if this topic has been posted ad> nauseum, my apologies)> Here's mine: My daughter has long thick, coarse hair.> There was only one thing we both didn't like about it> -- all the tangles. The best hair tip was one which I received here from Tamara from Calgary, Canada. She has beautiful hair which is very long. She talked about her hair routine and how she was sure to put just a drop of jojoba oil on her ends before brushing to minimize breakage and to keep the ends moisturized. She also discussed how longer hair seems to have a tendency to get dry at the bottom. That was very reassuring to me.Bye for now,Jade21To everyone -- what's the best hair tip you've ever> received?> (I am new here so if this topic has been posted ad> nauseum, my apologies)> Here's mine: My daughter has long thick, coarse hair.> There was only one thing we both didn't like about it> -- all the tangles. I had always thought it wa for dark hair. Thanks for the tip. I agree about the colouring. It is millions of times better to go to a salon for that.

To everyone -- what's the best hair tip you've ever received?(I am new here so if this topic has been posted ad nauseum, my apologies)Here's mine: My daughter has long thick, coarse hair. There was only one thing we both didn't like about it -- all the tangles. We tried leave-in conditioners which sort of helped, but it still took a long time to get through all the hair. Then, my stylist suggested that she use regular conditioner in the shower, but comb through the hair while the conditioner was still in. It works like a charm! It takes very little time, and when she's out of the shower, the hair is already detangled, so it takes almost no time to run a comb through it.Probably everyone knew about this but us, nevertheless it made a big difference!
