I like it who knows how long it's going to last LOL.

Since posting the same picture to two different Britney threads wasn't enough, you now started a third Britney thread, so you could post the same picture yet again? Brilliant thinking, man ...

Natasha,
The point, which was clearly lost on you i guess, was that the other two threads covered two different topics(length/colour).Neither thread had a pic.
When I found the pic this morning, I added it to the relavent posts, as it illustrated both well.
The reason to start the new thread was that, as I said in the subject line, it was the "latest pic".
Since both of the other related threads had been up for a few days, and
had been viewed to death by now, I started this other thread
because many of us who are at the site daily, do not always feel the
need to re-read the same threads day after day. Ergo, the pic would not
be seen by as many members. This way, I was just ensuring that those
who came daily, and didn't re-read each and every thread that they read
the day before(and the day before...), would actually get to see the
pic.
Sorry if I wasted what must be some of your extra-specially
important time. Nobody else seemed offended. Or, perhaps you personally
pay for the site hosting, or bandwidth.Sorry if I wasted valuable
space. Maybe, you are just in charge of monitoring the whole,"brilliant
thinking" thing. Quite frankly, I am not sure. I just hope you didn't
lose sleep.

I'm trying to follow your logic here, but you've lost me. People do not come here daily and re-read the threads to see if there's been new posts, or not re-read them because they've read them before. They look at the little icon on the left of the thread and see that there's been new posts to the thread. It's not apparent until you've opened the thread that the new posts are duplicates of other posts to similar titles. So everybody who's still interested is going to end up opening all three threads.
And even if it did work that way, you've just given more threads they have to open and read for nothing new.
When you decide to start a new thread instead of reply to current threads, you make it harder for people to follow the conversation, or even to figure out that there is a conversation outside of your multiple postings. It dilutes whats there and makes people wonder what's going on with you that you would need to bombard the board with similar posts.

eKatherine,
Thank you for your feedback. This will be my last post in defence of my
earlier actions(posted a pic more than once...), but I'll try to
explain.I now feel like I am actually wasting space(this is a forum for
the discussion of celebrity hair, not a chat room).
Every morning when I get to the salon. I ask our receptionist, who has
already been to the site, "Any new threads/pics?".At this point, she
either says yes, at which point we all gather to take a peek, or she
says"nope, same old, same old, /nothing new".
Now I really enjoy reading the opinions of other members, which I do
when I am afforded the time to, but if a post has been around for a
bit, it's not often that I will re-visit it. I will go once, often
twice to see feedback, and thats usually it. I added the pic to the
appropriate threads when I found it, but then thought, many people will
not see it. Sure many would, but lots would not even open the other
Brittney threads at this point, as they were getting a bit old.
I thought, well , for those who won't re-open those threads, I just
wanted to draw their attention to what I felt was a relavent,
noteworthy pic.
It was not my intention to "bombard the board with similar posts". A
sincere apology to anyone who's time I wasted, but I don't feel I did
anything that wrong.
radman,
dude, totally get where you are coming from.i only found this
website a week ago, and just decided to join.i was just checking in
again to see if there was anything new.
i don't see what you are being ragged on for.i had already checked out
those other brittney postings for a day or so ago,so i wouldn't have
headed back to them.i checked out the one that said "latest
picture", or whatever, because i figured it was new.otherwise, i would
have not even seen the picture in question.so dude, good job.
so, 'gj on starting the new one. people need to lighten up i think. i
thought this was a cool place where people talked about stars do's.i
mean, were not curing cancer here people.so you had to look at the same
picture more than once.geez.hope ya survive.

You're asking the wrong question. Instead of asking "Are there any new threads?" you should ask "Are there any new posts to our threads?" Look at the little envelope to the left of the thread. If there are new posts since your computer was last at this site, there will be a little note going in it. Older threads will not have this. It'll save you a whole lot of time if you don't search all threads for new posts.

eKatherine,
Here I am again, despite my promise to let this die. Now , I am of the
opinion that we utilize the board in different ways. When you say
"i should ask"if there are "any new posts to our threads" instead
of "are there new threads/pics", I think the point becomes clear. I go
to this site to see if there are any cool (or not...), new
developments in the world of celebrity hair. I am interested first and
foremost in trends, and recent developments in celebrity hair. Second
to that, I am interested in the opinions of other members. Thirdly, I
would check to see if "my/our posts" got any response. The third, is not
a huge issue for me. I don't care if there are or not. I'm not seeking
validation, although I hope occasionally to inspire some discussion.
I understand how the board works. I know what "the little envelope to
the left of the thread" means. Sometimes people zip in, and zip out, on
sites like this. I know I do, as do many people I know .
My "latest pic" thread was , I guess, for members like me. People who
sometimes have only a momemt or two to check in to see the latest.I
love when I have nothing better to do than just cruise leisurely
through the site, but sometimes, I just care to see whats new. That
being said, thank you agin for your input. I would welcome further
discussion if you like, but feel it would be better servrd if done
through e--mail....
feel free to repond to rardman@hotmail.com
All the best.
P.S. So, ster all this, what do you think of her hair?...lol
dude,
stop apologizing to these cows.clearly they have WAYYYYY to much time
on their hands if have time to rant about the "proper" way to use a
discussion/message board.as i said bro, i wouldn't have even seen the
new pic if you had not started a new thread/topic.I had been to the
other postings a few times, read them, and would not have gone
back.isn't that the point you were making? well, english is my first
language, so i got it.and, i appreciated that you took the time to
start the new thread.otherwise, i would not have had a "visual'
relax dude.besides, did you see that chicks hair?""hello, 1982 called
and they want that tired braided updo "thingy" back that was
passable(at best) then.today, it's a hair crime(felony-not mis).
chill bro, and keep posting.

I'm not sure that calling women "cows" is as much a personal insult as a reflection of the mind of the would-be insulter. In any case, it would not do for such a person to take instruction on how the board operates from a lowly female, especially one with hair so much better than his.

Hilarious. I love your
sense of humor, eKatherine. And re: Johnny's criticism of your
hairstyle being dated, well, I'm absolutely certain that his hairstyle
is entirely unique and never-been-seen-before in hairstyling
history. Sure, of course
Okay Johnny, this warning's for you. Please refrain from insulting other people here. Consider this fair warning.
And I'll ask everybody (without naming individual) to attempt refrain
from creating multiple threads about the same celebrity such as was the
case with Britney Spear's latest extended hairstyle.

Johnny,
This appears to way out of hand. I in no way would insult a fellow member's hair(regardless of what I thought of it),
or insult them on any level in a public forum. Although I suppose, this
was done "in my defense", I would ask that you don't do it again,
especially where it has to do with me or my postings.
Thank you for your support, but no more insults...k?
Katherine,
I apologize for you having to be insulted publiclly like that. I feel it was uncalled for.
Dave Decker,
I agree with warning Johnny not to insult people here. What he did was
inappropriate. However, did you read the posts that preceeded
his.Granted, he was a bit more up front with his insults, but can you
say the tone of Natasha's little post wasn't a tad insulting to me?
Guess thats allright though? No warning for her?
So I committed what has turned out to be a huge cardinal sin(multiple
posting!!!), which incidentlly I have seen here before to far less
outcry. I will not do it again. There was a much nicer way for the
members who seem to know best, to convey their ideas and sentiments.
Anyway , Once Again I apologize, and Good Day To All
I love Britney's new hue. I love the base color against her tan, and I think the honey streaks are enough blonde for her. I hope she says goodbye to bleach from now on, least just sticking to the highlights she has now.
Thumbs up.
