hey all,

Im starting this post because RK hair has been used by many of you and I wanted to get your opinions on the hair itself, if thats ok =). What do you gals think of the hair overall?  Hows the upkeep, color, etc. I have been hearing some mixed opinions of this hair and I thought it would be good to have them all in one post. Thanx all

Dry ,Tangly, Might be to much wok geting back in silky condition. It's very heavy looking and would not blend in to my finer client's hair I would spend the extra money and by bohyme or EP because I would at least know what Im going to get. I have a full bag of  color 22 straight double draw 18 inch if any one wants it. Still looking for great cheep hair but maybe it dosent exsit

Well Ive posted this in several other threads, so sorry if I'm just repeating myself, but I think it sheds a WHOLE lot. I got a package of machine wefted and a few packages of hand wefted.  Both shed from running my hands through it and also a lot when I tried to seperate the stiffness out of the curls in the first wash.  First wash I had loads of shedding. The curlier textures all tangled when they were wet. After having nature girl in my head for a few weeks I definitely won't be wearing RK in the future.  Of course, RK hair is pure heaven compared to crappy BSS Hollywood deepwave hair I used to wear before I discovered indian hair online.  My house is still full of reminders of that nasty hair I wore for years. I will never ever get every strand of that shedding hair out of my carpets.

Perhaps people who like loose french refined curls will be happy with the deepwave but if you want bouncy curls you will be very disappointed.  The hair is very pretty and soft to touch and only seems to tangle when its wet, but again, I now only want hair that doesn't shed and this stuff, at least the curliest textures all shed.  I also see lots of white hairs in my batches. Not sure why.

I have no shedding issues with RK, but the matting at the neck, and the tangling when wet is a becoming an issue. Mine is the #22 blonde, Im not sure if the darker colors are better or not?

well Im rather satisfied with the RK hair, yes its a bit tangly but all long hair tangles, when I had my (real) hair waist length it would tangle like a mofo.

I also dont seem to have problems with it shedding or feeling dry.  its probably the best bang for your buck.

Kalika are you using light colored or darker hair? It seems like alot of the problems are worse with the blonde. Im gonna post a pictures of my matting problem. Ive never experienced matting like this with ANY hair.

This RK install is just over 2 weeks. My hair had been brushed out about 3 hours prior to these pictures. This is the back of the hair underneath (at the neck area where the hair lays on my back)

I slept with Biosilk silk therapy on my hair all night, well see what happens when I wash it this morning

mine tangles and i get a bit of bac of neck matting with it, but i've had that with every batch of 613 i've ever owned, even more expensive stuff :/

My tangles may be due to the 24'' length, i am going to cut it when i do a proper install, we'll see how it is when its razored out and cut properly :)

So in summary, it sounds like RK hair sucks, right?

I don't want to buy it for clients if it's going to be a huge problem!

Today I bought hot oil treatment and some sheea butter and oil leave in cream sort of thing and some vile of something for course hair.I will and  Iam trying it all !!!I do not want to take down and start again. And since it feels a bit better from frist treatment I'm going on a treatment binge fo these locks. I dont mind doing this for myself but not all my clients!

same here Marie, Im gonna try to push the hair for the duration of the bonded wefts. I have a feeling these babies are gonna hang in there too. Sunday will be 3 weeks and these LG bonds are as secure as day one!

I really soaked the Biosilk silk treatment on it last night, braided it and slept with it in all night. The hair really combed out much easier after my shower this morning. I didnt need much conditioning products to be able to get my wide tooth comb through it like usual.

Of course the hair still tangled and matted at the neck today. The ends were looking pretty frizzy too so I trimmed about a half inch tonight. I may try some antifrizz treatment (or one of the zillion products under my bathroom vanity) tomorrow before styling.

Whoa, sherrie. That just ain't right.

My RK clips ins are doing great. I'm wearing a #12 & #27 combo @ 18" and have another batch that I darkened up. I wear them all day for 12 hours with absolutely no problem. Minimal shedding as well.

The very light blonde RK's are consistently bad it seems. Yeah, the price is good but I don't consider that a bargain if it won't last one install. Buh-bye RK.

hmmmm

LHD has used Rk clip ins and has had very little problems and you 2 amm andd the bonded wefts are the ones with the tangling issues.

does that seem like a fair assessment?

amm, how low do you place the clips in the back?
