QuoteReplyTopic: SHRINKIES never arrived Posted: September 19 2005 at 9:24pm
I'm extremely disapointed and
highly upset that I ordered my shrinkies well over 12 business days. I
placed the order on September 1st its now September 19!!!!!!!!!!! and I
still haven't recieved diddly! I really
think that after I placed my complaint to the website that they would
send me my package immediately by other means, like overnight shipping
or even a more reliable carrier like fed ex...but no! instead it was
shipped with usps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't
say anything bad about the product itself because unfortunately I've
not had the pleasure to test them out on my clients but the shipping is
a cause for concern. I would
hope that I get a response from others with the same issue or complaint
and perhaps some feedback from the owner of the site, besides that I
really HOPE I get my product soon or I will have to ask for a full
return and contact the better business bureau, seeing as there is no
other solution

ok...back up just a minute. I can guarantee you that this is NOT amms fault (she is the owner of that site)
Obviously there was a problem with USPS, which is normally quite reliable in reality, but yes do screw up on occassion. I have personally ordered from the site MANY times. Amm is a very reliable and trustworthy businesswoman with a very solid reputation. She uses USPS becasue it is so much less expensive than other means of shipping, and she is ALWAYS looking out for the better deals for all of us at affordable prices. She never overcharges for her products or shipping. If you check the tracking you will see Im sure that she sent out your package and its in USPS hands and she cannot control that if there was a shipping problem. Generally anytime Ive had a package shipped from shrinkies.net I have it in 4 days or less.
Im sure Amm will make it right with you if it was her error. I seriously doubt that you will get any bad feedback or other complaints as that is just not the way she does business. This is an unfortunate and rare event to have a problem with shrinkies.net.
I received your email expressing your disappointment over your lost
package on 9/12 and immediately responded to you and also
forwarded proof of mailing on 9/2 with the post office. I received no
response from you.
You wrote to me again a few days later and I again immediately
responded to your mail and advised you I would send another order
out ASAP. Once more, you did not respond back.
If you read on my site it clearly states I am not responsible nor will I
replace packages that are not insured and are lost in the mail. Still, I
sent another package because I don't like to hear of anyone not
receiving what they paid for even when it's not my error. I emailed
you again that it was sent and you still did not respond.
The United States Postal Service has been reliable and more than
expeditious in delivering packages for me for many, many years.
And, might I add it's more cost effective and that gets passed along
to the customer. Of course there are always exceptions but I get
much more positive feedback on fast shipping than I do slow arrivals
or order no shows.
I hope this doesn't come across as condescending but you may want
to check with your ISP and have them ease up on your spam filters.
Were those not so strictly in place, you would have received all my
emails from day one.
I agree with everyone also. Amm's reputation speaks for itself!!
Blanca on the shrinkies.net website there is a disclaimer about purchasing insurance:PPING INFORMATION AND DISCLAIMER:
Insurance is available for all packages at the buyer's request. We are not responsible for late or lost packages in the mail. Orders which are uninsured will not be replaced in the event they are lost or stolen. We will always provide proof of mailing at your request.
With the exception of global priority, all shipping labels are filed electronically online and you will be notified of your pending shipment at the email address you provided to Paypal at the time of your order.
Ensure your delivery address and email are correct. Providing an incorrect address could affect your shipment up to and including not receiving your order. Ensure your spam filters do not block our attempts to contact you in the event we need to get in touch with you about your order.
Blanca, I would double check you emails before you go on here and start bashing a respected forum member and business woman!!

first of all this is business ladies, I'm sure you are all use to
others being catty, but I'm not going to go there and I don't believe
this involves you, as for the package, the only thing that the tracking
has stated and I quote "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically
notified by the shipper or shipping partner on September 16, 2005 to
expect your package for mailing"
key word "EXPECT" that means that it has not yet ever arrived in the
hands of the USPS, I know this because I have contacted the USPS myself
and have asked them to explain to me what that means.
Secondly "amm" I recieved only one email from you, and no filters are
on my email, stating that another is going to be sent out. What exactly
would you like for me to respond to? Should I say thank you for sending
my order out? Like I stated before, this is business, I paid you for
something and you are doing me no favors. I did recieve another email
from paypal only alerting me that another package is going to be sent
out and that is all, nothing more and nothing less.

if you read carefully "gsmilie" you will see that I have nothing to say about product quality or the website itself
if you read carefully "gsmilie" you will see that I only am wondering if this has happened to anyone else
perhaps my intentions "gsmilie" is that I would like someone to give me
a sprig of hope that perhaps the product I ordered would come in
eventually and lastly "gsmilie" constructive criticism on the choice of
distributor that "amm" uses is by definition "criticism of advice that
is useful and intended to help or improve something, often with an
offer of possible solutions" (ref. dictionary.com)
Let me get this straight. The post office loses your package, I
respond to the problem immediately, you purposely choose not to
acknowledge you're receiving my mail, I send another order right
away and you're angry?
I'm only the messenger, the post office has explained to me that "to
expect for mailing", is the same as it hasn't been dropped off to the
post office as of yet.
and had I been angry you would have been notified.
did I say anything about you not sending another one? did I say
anything about the product? did I say anything about you're immediacy
regarding the product or any communication problems that I have with
you?
all the answers to those questions can be answered simply with a "no"
perhaps those of you who have made this into a personal/emotional
attack should step back and realize that this is business and not an
attack on your person

At least being punk'd has a happy ending.
(((Sigh)))...helpful customers like Bronte make a person wonder if it's even worth it to bust one's a$$ and spend one's money to build a better mousetrap.
And whatever you did eventually say, Bronte, was in bold red letters so it didn't appear to be a letter of recommendation.
I've ordered from amm's shrinkie site before - I've had excellent service, and I highly recommend her!

I use the USPS quite a bit, and almost every time I've used their tracking system - (Almost always going to the counter to complete my transactions) - It says the "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified ...yada yada" thing. When it does say that, I do not get the full history of my item sent until the day after the package(s) are physically recieved. I can't say if it's because I'm in the middle of Alaska, or what - But I do know that generally the USPS is reliable.
i've gotten at least 3 things from shrinkies.net...i live in east TN and have gotten all in - i kid you not - 2 business days. as a matter of fact i do the email tracking from usps and at least twice i've been sitting at work thinking...wonder when it will ship because the tracking thing says the "notified" yadda yadda. only to come home and it's waiting on my little porch. as a matter of fact the same thing happened today - checked the website and it was "we've been notified" and boom. here comes the mailman.
sounds like your complaint is with the usps.

Bronte - Im sorry you'r upset, but realize that sometimes lost packages happen. I've had packages lost in the mail too, as I believe everyone has at one point or another.
Almost everyone on these forums has ordered one thing or another from Amm and were extremely satisfied with the quality product, fast shipping, and REMARKABLE customer service.
Yes, in a strictly business sense, you were wronged by the post office, you contacted Amm, and she responded the best way she knew how. She didnt HAVE to do that, but she wants as many people as happy as possible. Granted, you can't please everybody.
I can understand your frustration, I've had orders take a long time too (not from amm, but from other companies as I order a LOT of items online), but next time take a deep breath, and try to assess the situation in a calm and removed manner. Have YOU ever sent anything and it got delayed and or lost? Shoot, every time I send out a credit card payment I keep my fingers crossed
