Why disrespect Bob for sharing his opinion? Like myself and several others, Bob has never made a secret of his passion for long hair. Anna Kournikova has built an enormous fan base, mainly due to her long hair. Sarcasm aimed toward those of us that are part of that fan base is unacceptable. Just because we admire long hair doesn't mean our opinion counts less.

But Kramer, I thought that was the purpose of this board... short hair vs long hair lovers. That's what most of the discussion seems to degenerate to. (SNL fans of yester year rember, "Jane, you ignorant slut..." It's not about opinions on if a certain style works for a celeb or not. It's all about who's gonna win... who's gonna one-up the other... remember long vs short! Kind of like pirates and ninjas.

I think the purpose of the board is to make interesting and relevant comments about the hairstyles of celebrities--be they long or short. We (those of us who post on this board) don't always see eye to eye about what is good or bad, but most long term posters are clearly sincere in their preferences.

I think you are right that "most" long-term members contribute to healthy discussion with occasional tongue-in-cheek jibes that come from familiarity with each other. I also think you are correct when you say most have sincere "preferences." It doesn't take newbie’s long to pick-up on what those preferences tend to be.

I personally don't mind the occasional thread that pokes fun or even turns into the same old long/short banter. I can always stop reading a particular thread when I get tired if it.

I don't really mean to offend when I, on occasion, kick in a sarcastic comment or two.

Thanks Kramer, but I'm fine with Ken's remark. If Ken noticed, I believe that  I said that Marina McBride's short cut looked "hot", and today I was all about Charlize's old crop. Granted, I prefer both long, but I truly enjoyed the cuts on both women.
THIS may stun you Ken. I actually rate the short styles of Jenny McCarthy, Patricia Arquette, skater Jayne Torville and Patricia Heaton *higher* than their longer 'dos. And, the same for several women I know personally. So, to me, it *is* about the individual.
Re Anna, though, I can't for the life of me imagine why anyone would hope that she cuts those startling blonde locks. Wink Bob

I am not saying she should cut it, but she could pull off a shorter style

To bring this back to the original topic, why would Anna cut her hair if she's not playing tennis anymore. I could understand cutting your hair if you're about to play tennis because you don't want it in the way. But I don't understand why she would cut her hair just because she's not playing tennis.

I think she just wanted to know why would she have to cut it now that she isn't playing any more.

I think the long hair suits her.  It's healthy and shiny so I don't see any reason cut it.  Maybe shorten it to her mid-back but my vote would not be for  anything shorter.  She's still young and vibrant so why not keep the long hair as long as possible!

This is good news. When I first saw the thread I feared for the worst, but I felt relaxed once I saw that she still has her beautiful long locks.
