Well,The most important take care of your skin is protected from life sun.A exposure to sunlight can cause wrinkles, freckles, age spots and rough, dry skin.Smoking makes your skin look older and helps wrinkles.Smoking shrinks small blood vessels in the outermost layers of the skin, which decreases blood flow.Strong soaps can strip oil from your skin. Instead, choose mild cleansers.A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins.Uncontrolled stress may make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts and other skin problems

Which is the best skin care cream to protect from sun?

Also..........what is acne, how does it occur and what is the best type of treatment currently?

Acne results from the obstruction and inflammation of the sebaceous glands, and it affects 80% of the population. Acne typically begins in adolescence with hormonal changes. However, there are many older individuals who suffer from adult onset acne.

Q: WHAT IS PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY?

A: Photodynamic therapy is a process by which a photosensitizing agent (Levulan) is applied to your skin. It is then activated with a specific wavelength of light, which “turns on” the topical solution. Levulan has been used for the treatment of a variety of different skin conditions, and it is approved by the FDA for the treatment of precancerous lesions and sun damaged skin.

Q: HOW IS PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY WITH LEVULAN DIFFERENT FROM ACCUTANE?

A: Prior to Photodynamic Therapy, the best available treatment option for cystic acne was Accutane. However, Accutane is associated with many systemic side effects including birth defects, liver abnormalities, mood swings, depression, and virtually all patients experience eye dryness and night vision changes. Photodynamic Therapy provides a safer, viable alternative for all types of acne treatments.

Q: WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WITH PHOTODYNAMIC THERAPY?

A: Photodynamic Therapy is a relatively simple procedure. First, Levulan is applied to the skin and left on for 30-60 minutes. It is then activated with a specific light source. The procedure takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Photodynamic Therapy has been used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including moderate to severe acne, certain types of precancerous skin lesions, acne rosacea, and sun damaged skin. Additionally, skin oiliness is decreased and pores are minimized, leading to a overall improved skin texture
