There's nothing you can do to change the maximum growth rate of your hair. What you need to do is take the best possible care of your hair that you can.

Always condition after washing, detangle gently, use a little jojoba on your dry ends, and minimize heat styling.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Mane and Tail works for me too.  I use it once a week.  Other than that, take vitamins and treat your hair nicely.

I'm thinking about getting Wild Growth Hair Oil to help my hair grow longer. It claims to make your hair longer, thicker, shinier, and silkier.
Type: 3c/4a Natural
Current Length: 6"
Goal: Healthy, tip of nose /neck/shoulder length hair.

1/4 in. per month is average.  You've got nothing to worry about.
More awesome than a manatee!

I want to grow out my hair like John Glover's. Here's how my hair looks like:

And here it is a few days of not showering:

How long would it take to grow it out at like John Glover's (before he completely cut his hair)? And would that style even work on my hair?
