I read the advice you gave Lisa regarding getting rid of that heavy pyramid look through undercutting. I was wondering if that technique could help me. I'm african american with relaxed hair with graduated layers on the sides and slightly past my shoulders in the back. I get that pyramid look especially as I get closer to my next scheduled touchup and my roots become curly(every 6 or 7 weeks). I went to one stylist who said that my hair falls this way because of how it grows and no amount of cutting or different hairstyles will change it. Please help!Renita

(not by choice but by circumstance).I would like to do some afro hair but my customers are all long haired caucausan mostly. I find that some black hair styles particularly short relaxed ones are very becoming on the right person. I think that undercut layers would still help you if your hair is relaxed very very straight.Sorry I couldn't be any more help.william
