Heat is heat.. I don't see any way a manufacturer can change the quality of heat. I don't see any way it can be different from a regular flat iron that has temperature control. Wet hair should NOT be ironed (causes steam, steam can cause hair shaft to burst). Heck, professionals don't even recommend brushing hair while wet, let alone flat iron it.
