I started out on blackhairmediaforums but couldnt
post and got fed up and then totally fell in love with
this forum,, i also found that on the
blackhairmediaforums that i didnt really see anyone
with my hairtype so its more difficult to get advice if
you dont have similar hairtypes and thats frustrating
and i have that same feeling that hairboutique is
home
Hair type: 3b some c?, fine strands, last relaxer sept 05, never again!!! current :ap length on sides,,nearly bsl in back, damn those old frazzled ends! I am hair OBSESSED

Thanks girl.  My hair has changed a lot since coming to hair boards also.  It all started with HairBoutique because this was the first forum I came to so this one feels like home.

You're right about cutting down on heat.  It makes such a big difference!!

I know I'm late but CONGRATS on your growth progress! And its good that you limit the heat (which also makes a BIG difference in the long run)!

Lol....it's funny because we do our hair so much alike it's scary.  My mom was laughing at me the other day because she says I do my hair in "stages"....meaning it usually takes me 2 days.  I'll start on Friday evening and finish up Saturday morning.

I remember back in october or november how i was
counting on a certain length by the end of december
and then the end of january and my hair has reached
my goal, so far, for some reason i didnt think it really
would, i guess i assumed i'd have a setback or
something or that my hair wouldnt grow fast enough
but if i have no setbacks i should have my goal of
more than 18 inches by the end of the year,, right
now i wear three tracks of 18 inch extensions with
most of my own hair out so it looks like long layers
and the 18 inch extensions have always seemed so
long to me so it would be a dream to have more than
that by the end of the year right now im at almost
armpit length in front,, armpit length on the sides and
nearly brastrap in back but it seems so thin when i
flat iron it and i cant stand that!! ,, i think im too used
to the weight of having weave hair in,, i think the trims
i did have really helped keep it look healthier and at
some point i'll do more cuz my ends look somewhat
thin and i hate that look.....
