Phantom Modulate Hair Color Remover?

Anyone used this? I am scared to. A couple salons use it but neither seems super knowlegable about it. One said it will cause hair breakage for sure the other said no it will not. My dk brown hair was bleached copper last summer when I asked for light brown no red  and I went to get it done medium brown to cover up the brassy color and both times after that was disaster. The last time was 5 days ago and she made the copper BLACK. Not sure what to do my waist length hair is damaged and I have already used harsh home cleaning soaps (ie dishwasher detergent, hand soap, tar shampoo for dandruff) on it to try to remove the haircolor. But it is way damaged and I have to go back to the good stuff before I dry it out further. One salon here uses Goldwell hair remover but the online hairdresser seems to think this Phamtom Modulate is the most gentlest. Any ideas? Thanks.

The reason I am so confused is because while some hairdressers won't use the remover on me saying my hair will become super dry and also break off, others are willing and either say NO damage like you, or to expect some damage. After trusting the people that messed me up I don't know who to trust anymore, THREE bad experiences and not in my mind only but everyone who saw me or has seen my pics.  Many places I contacted do not even use strippers but those that do, I went in for consults and the responses were what I wrote above. Why do they say damage if it does not cause damage? So confused :(

Thanks Louise. A couple other hairdressers won't touch my hair with color remover. I wanted to think it was because they did not know enough about it and were scared of it for that reason but one seemed especially knowlegable. My hair is waist length when it is straight I keep it long because when it curls because it is natrually curly it is many many inches shorter. But it is breaking off too! If at the root I would not know because you lose some hair from the root anyway when it is naturally suppose to fall off. But I lost it mid shaft and all over really because hair is so fragile since the stupid colring I just had. So upset, bathtub full of shorter pieces that snapped off. Ugh. Wonder if you had more success because your hair is healthier than mine? The elasticity of mine is gone, and some break at the slightest tug even if hair is not split there. Will cut some today but not as much as I should. Already cut a few inches before. Since the bleaching my curls are not really curls either. Cant explain what they are not straight not curly just frizzy unless I take painstaking efforts to de-frizz but even then it is not curly or straight...not really describable to be honest with you... :( Will go put some olive oil in my hair now with dryer, so far nothing helped to remove color. I cant believe I bleached for nothing. NOw I am dealing  with hair that is the worst color on me, hair that will be shorter than I like, and a texture that only damaged naturally curly hair can get. Sorry to vent again I just can't believe that last year at this time during my B-Day I had healthy pretty hair. Yes it was a dark brown blah color but I would take that anyday over damaged yucky black goth hair. So knowing all this do you think color remover is my answer still? I do not want to do those shampoo bleach caps. Thanks.

You could try using Mailibu Crystal Gel Treatment.  A colorist used this on my hair when my daughter colored my hair in beauty school and it came out a dark burgandy brown instead of a light copper brown.  It removes any excess color and will not damage your hair.  The colorist used it and then had me do it at home a week later.
