QuoteReplyTopic: Black hair & blue streaks Posted: August 31 2002 at 8:17pm
I`m going to get my hair dyed black in a salon in a while, and I`m pretty sure about that (my hair is almost black already) but I want to get electric blue streaks. Everyone`s told me that I`d have to bleach my hair for them to take properly, but I really don`t want to, because I`ve heard that it`s really bad for you and it can give you skin cancer and stuff - so I`m not going to risk it... I was just wondering if the black dye would help it take? Or would it just be better to get four or five blue extensions? Also, if I`m just getting extensions to last a few weeks, roughly how much do you think they`d cost? Thanks! Cathy

Bleach doesn`t wreck your hair that much if you haven`t dyed it before, and you`re only getting streaks done anyway. You just need to get light blonde streaks in your hair and then get them dyed blue. Make sure not to get the streaks before you dye it black though or else they`ll be a little more damaged than they need to be.

Y`see - this is the basic format for asking questions.
Ask a question - No satisfactroy answer - keep asking more specific until you get answer. Have answer, get knowledge about stuff, able to help other people asking same question.
That`s how it works.
I bet you`re the same dude who was saying everyone masturbates instead of replying - I bet you`d like that wouldn`t you =P

Thanks for the advice... but now I`ve learned I`m not allowed to go to class if I have `flamboyant hair`! So I`ll have to wait a while... and the thing about the skin cancer? It`s something to do with chemical burns on the scalp getting exposed to the sun, but I don`t really know - someone else told me that there were no carcinogenics in bleach, but I`m not sure... Thanks anyway!
to Squiggle, I was talking in extremely basic sentence format so an idiot like you could understand =P You didn`t even really defend yourself. I think I`ll ignore you from now on. There`s enough people like you in my school.
Anyway, about the Flamouyant hair thats a whole load of conformative crap if you have your parents permission they can`t do a thing, just get a note from your parents or something. Do be careful if you bleach if though from what people have told me the damage seems to matter from how well it`s done more than how much you bleach it.

hmmm...been a while since I have posted here but oh well...
When I went to school my high school did not have such rules...so all of my friends ended up having blue, purple, bright purple hair and stuff like that...due to the fact that there was no rule about it they couldn`t do anything, but however they obviously did not like it. The next year they added in a rule about hair. The catch is that the rule only stated that you were not to be able to have all of your hair one color. So if your rules in your school is really saying that, then that would mean streaks would be okay:D
