Has anyone has their hair trimmed this way?

The stylist was using a razor and she and another stylist got to talking about my hair and the thickness of my french braid. She went on from there to say another lady with thick, long hair came in for a trim and she used a razor and the results were great. The stylist said the lady with the long hair getting the trim with the razor was leary but was happy with the results. hummmm.. me? dunno about me getting a razor trim..!!
