Hi!!!! I need help finding a hairstyle for homecoming. I have short hair and I can't do much with it. Any ideas?

I saw a cute idea in one of my magazines. I don't remember which one, but I tried it and liked it. You section off small portions of hair across your crown (sortof like a cornrow pattern) and twist them a bit and secure them with glittery hairclips. The girl in the picture included her bangs, but I left my bangs down. I used my daughters little butterfly clips, but the article used really flashy hairclips that dressed it up. I've been doing this to my daughters hair quite a bit, and she gets lots of compliments.I Hi!!!! I need help finding a hairstyle for homecoming.> I have short hair and I can't do much with it.
