Firstly can I just say what a cool site this is.
Basically I have been permanently dyeing my shoulder length hair dark brown for about 2 years now, naturally my hair is strawberry blonde.
I would love to go lighter but need to know if it's possible without shaving my head first?
The products I have been using are 'Loreal's recital', and more recently 'Vital'.
Please help!

You cannot lift color with color. I would highly reccomend you see a pro. I would start out with having the stylist highlight your hair and slowly each time you visit them, go lighter and lighter. This is best so that you won't fry your hair.

Good luck
